They don't matter until you gotta guard Embiid or Jokic.

I could see Mogbo and Battle not in the playoff rotation, though great young depth in case of injury.

Pretty much just need a 2 for 1 trade. Agbaji and #39 for #34 to draft Fleming or Markovic.

Trading Ochai to go from pick 39 to 34 is wild

lmao I have never seen someone try so hard to get rid of a decent young player

What if the plan is an eventual Barnes + for Giannis. How would the CMB pick look in our current lineup with Giannis, BI, CMB etc....

Assuming the trade is Barnes, 2 or 3 first rd picks, 2 1st rd swap (for a total of 4-5 1st) + RJ or Ochai or IQ + filler

Basically does picking CMB make trading Barnes for a Superstar more feasible?

Yup.

And as a reminder, we just overhauled almost our complete team the last 1.5 years and they have barely played together.

Also...our Championship year we added 3 starters the last year. Things can change quickly and no one is off limits.

the amount of trade Ochai for a second round pick takes are embarrassing. People love the thought of a prospect becoming good but dont realize how unlikely it will be they become good. Especially a near 40% three point shooter with solid defense.

I mean 11 player rotation is not ideal....Some of these guys will lose out on alot of mins this year....I think a move to turn some of these guys into 1 upgraded player needs to happen....

Injuries are bound to happen. I can understand a consolidation trade but it's not necessary.

Players will end up being unhappy if they think they deserve mins....I mean yeah injuries do happen but for winning purposes as well it would be wise to move a few of these guys for 1 solid winning player upgrade....Maybe RJ + 1 or 2 guys on the bench for a legit upgrade either in the starting lineup or another player who will play 25 mins off the bench....RJ/Walter/Dick/Ochai logjam is a problem....

Dick for Lively will help.

Taking on $6 million in salary is worth a 1st pick.

Or Agbaji for #31 (then draft Flemming) and take Markovic with #39.

But you know, we'll probably just wind up with Broome or Sion James. Hell, might even just grab a basic big like Goldin (because all of the other good bigs will be gone).

Well that would be ideal.

On the surface...I like the idea. But Lively has missed a lot of games in these last 2 seasons. He played 55 and 36 games, respectively.

The center he's alluding to there is Jokic... Caruso is the 6'5" guy.

Or one of the premier guards in the NBA (SGA, Mitchell, etc.)

Our entire bench is rookie scale players including a UDFA, and 3 2nd rounders. They really don't have a leg to stand on.

In 2018 Norman Powell was our 11th man. Sometimes its good to have competition as it raises everyone up and ensures everyone knows if they slack off their is a replacement there.

We don't need to trade for the sake of it to satisfy egos we don't know even exist.

Yup.

Internal competition is a great thing. It makes for harder working players in off seasons, training camps, practices, and games. Let the best rise to the top.

I guess the introductory press conference for both players will be early next week? It would make sense. From what I remember they took the rookies to the Jays game last year when they came to town. The Yankees are in town early next week and Canada day is right around the corner.

Thankfully, we got much more than 2 players.

You objectively think the last 3 years have gone well for us?

We had one rough year in 2022/23.

Everything else has been about as expected.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.
