Gambo just teasing us

I like the trade for Fleming. They needed a 4. Athletic, has good traits
but damn, that is not BIG NEWS

Fleming is a lock IMO.

His college stats are enticing AF:

15/9 and 3 stocks, 39% three point shooter.

He made it sound like it was big news and not just draft picks
Kellan asked as much

He lead the listener on
And as a matter of fact- Shams reported it on twitter before Gambo even did

Don't get me wrong - I like all them moving around to get this guy. Fleming is 6'9 240, athletic upside, defense. REALLY good pick That was good work by the Suns front office. But Gambo can be a bit of a tool at times

This was the only mock draft I found with Fleming projected 1st round.

https://www.nba.com/news/bleacher-report-new-2025-mock-draft-eyes-upcoming-bevy-of-talent

22. Indiana Pacers: Rasheer Fleming (Saint Joseph’s, PF)
Indiana Pacers record: 32-24
Previous Mock Position: No. 27
Size: 6’9″, 240 lbs
Age: 20
Nationality: USA
Pro Comparison: Taylor Hendricks
Rasheer Fleming’s 3-point shot hasn’t slowed down, a key reason why he’s rising in popularity and becoming more believable to NBA scouts.

He’s the only player in college hoops with over 30 dunks and 40 3s. The mix of 6’9″ size, rim finishing, shooting, 1.5 blocks and 1.4 steals should look attractive for a stretch-4 role.

I think its the best move they have made this offseason so far
Trading Durant
Trading for Williams
Drafting Maluach

Making the moves to get this pick: solid A work

The theory of Fleming is super intriguing. There are also reasons he has dropped, far from a sure thing. If the small sample shooting doesn't translate, it's rough. Also seems to have a long way to go on making plays off the dribble, which could limit his utility severely.

Exactly the type of gamble worth making at this point in the draft though, exciting prospect.

Yes, Shams quote:

"The Suns' war room right now is eyeing St. Joseph's big man Rasheer Fleming at No. 31, finalizing their research and scouting before making their selection at 8 pm ET on ESPN"

I don’t see anything in BobbieL statement as being mad. Guess people interpret things differently.

Who is mad? Gambo is a tool as he teased something a big bigger than a draft pick in the second round

As for the trades to get to this point to get Fleming - that is really good work. Love it

I don't see a reason to trade 41 and 36 for say 32

just get two solid role players...

That's the plan!

Just because a guy reports “big news” and you dont think it’s big news it could be to other people. Like you said people interpret things differently.

No need to sh*t on the guy being happy we are not getting the guy we want.

Just seems odd that we make this move and Gambo saying big news is the part you come away with

Gambo said they like three players
Fleming
Proctor
Lanier - SG from UTenn

if the kid can shoot - take the shooter even if he is a SG

Return to Phoenix Suns
