No need to sh*t on the guy being happy we are not getting the guy we want.

Just seems odd that we make this move and Gambo saying big news is the part you come away with

Was big news to me as such an unSuns thing to do to by moving up 20 +picks to get their guy. I can't recall them doing that very often if at all

https://www.nba.com/news/bleacher-report-new-2025-mock-draft-eyes-upcoming-bevy-of-talent

22. Indiana Pacers: Rasheer Fleming (Saint Joseph’s, PF)
Indiana Pacers record: 32-24
Previous Mock Position: No. 27
Size: 6’9″, 240 lbs
Age: 20
Nationality: USA
Pro Comparison: Taylor Hendricks
Rasheer Fleming’s 3-point shot hasn’t slowed down, a key reason why he’s rising in popularity and becoming more believable to NBA scouts.

He’s the only player in college hoops with over 30 dunks and 40 3s. The mix of 6’9″ size, rim finishing, shooting, 1.5 blocks and 1.4 steals should look attractive for a stretch-4 role.

Here is another one.

27. Brooklyn Nets (via Houston)
Rasheer Fleming, PF, Saint Joseph's
Junior | TS%: 64.4

Height without shoes: 6-8¼ | Weight: 232
Standing reach: 9-1 | Wingspan: 7-5¼

As previously mentioned, these Nets picks -- particularly the pair in the 20s -- are viewed around the league as fluid, depending on what moves Brooklyn ultimately decides to pursue this week.

Fleming was not invited to the NBA draft green room, pointing to the likelihood he might fall to the back of the first round. He hasn't gathered much momentum over the past month but remains in consideration due to his physical tools and improving 3-point shooting. While not a flashy player or immensely skilled, his length, improvement track and late-blooming trajectory point to untapped potential. -- Woo

We got the best, youngest Center in the draft. He will get minutes.

I mean bigger picture with respect to apron levels and the cap. If you are trading Allen today or next week, will he get even less as teams know they are over a barrel with respect to the apron levels and what not.

I mean, if they just didn't bring back Micic, richards and Martin, that is $21m of cap savings towards apron levels.

I'm pretty sure we were always going to pick up Richards. He was just too cheap for what he brought to the table (even with flaws) to let him walk. Micic/Martin were always just salary fodder so those savings could be had.

I do think it just means we're going to get less value back from a Grayson trade as we'll probably prioritise salary savings instead.

If we get Fleming, we are starting to look, dare I say....ATHLETIC!! We needed to put athletes around Book. There is still a chance for Raunaud!

If we get Fleming our new young frontcourt will have wingspans of 7'5.25 and 7'6

Regardless of win/losses sure will be nice to see the suns run and play fast and not see them walk around like senior citizens.

Williams
Maulauch
Fleming

A lot of height and athleticism - I think this makes sense. This is building the right kind of team around Booker - especially if you add Brooks

I know its on paper - but will give props to Ishbia and Gregory

It’s not like the Suns had to wait all night to see how it would play out. And I think it’s very apparent now, Mark Williams wasn’t getting the value around the league the Hornets wanted so they turned to good ole reliable Mr overpay himself, Mr Ishbia.

I’m seeing a lot of excuses for this botched trade. It’s ok to call a duck a duck. This was a silly ill advised, unprepared trade to get Mark Williams.

And Mark Williams injury history is very real and a cause for pause in any trade scenario thus reducing his value as an asset.

Who projected him 10-15. Show me that lol.

Every single analyst had him top 10.

Just chose a random article but here you go.

Khaman Maluach’s Draft Projection

“The 18-year-old is regarded as a top-10 lottery pick. Projections have placed him anywhere between fourth overall pick to 13th for the 2025 NBA Draft.”

Add the young guy in your pic, and his 7' 2" wingspan, to that mix and it's arms length bonanza. The Suns might actually have an athletic defensive team moving forward.

Lol I was saying yesterday I was fine reaching for Flemming at 10 if Maluach was gone.

Fleming's got range.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Let’s keep it going!

I think you are just a little low.

It is an obvious A and we still don't know what awaits us at 41 and the Beal decision whatever that will be. It could be a solid A+ when all is said and done. I really wanted Fleming and I also really wanted Maluach. I was worried that they traded away an asset for Williams that they could use to get Fleming, I was wrong.

I actually think they did well in the KD trade. They tried to get more but he is or will be 37 and apparently a coach killer.

I wanted 2 bigs - we acquired 3.

Our new coach has a load of new talent to work with. It could be a very fun season of Suns Basketball

Go Suns

Not going to lie, I applaud what Phx did so quickly. They were aggressive, and have added a ton of youth and upside overnight.
Mark Williams/Maluch
Brooks/Flemming/Dunn/O'Neale
Booker/Beal/Green/Allen

I actually think this team could be better than many are expecting.

Suns have a young core now - wow - very impressed with what they are doing!!

We'll have to see how they play - but on paper this is looking good.

Return to Phoenix Suns
