I'm lowkey liking what PHX is doing. But they still won't be a top team like they once could have been. They will just be another good team fighting for the playoffs nothing special.

But I really wish Khaman Maluach becomes a star for them. He just seems like a great person and wish nothing but the best for him. I didn't want the Raptors to draft him but I will be watching his career and rooting for him. I love people who come from nothing and work their ass off to help their family. Growing up in Toronto you realise how many kids grow up spoiled and entitled with all the opportunity we got here. I love his quote "You can't break the broken" and it really resonates with me. I want to get that tatted. For all my dogs from the bottom!

Suns will be lucky to make the play in next season.

For sure its the West, but their future looks just a tad bit better than before.

The legal minimum they can have and the ones they are forced to keep devalued as much as is possible through swaps. It is confusing to me that they neither used their draft assets to move off money and/or to get more veterans at a cheaper cost. None of these rookies is likely to help them win any games this year. And they are even more expensive.

Not to mention the 2nd round exception means they're not counting against the cap when signed so that lessens the cap hit for a team like the Suns which are stuck in second apron hell for at least another year (They can't waive Beal for cap reasons related to waive & stretch since they already did/are doing that for Nassir Little. It's complicated).

They maybe good adds but unlikely to contribute to winning this year. So that shows longterm thinking which in general is good but at the same time the are further burying themselves under apron restrictions and the loss of future assets. That is why I called their approach to this mess confusing.
