Dogen wrote:My question is: Would Hugo have been there at 32? And if so, would Brad have taken one of the bigs we've been clamoring for at 28. Makes one wonder if he has another curve ball planned.
There's no way anyone could know the answer to that question for sure.
The last ESPN mock draft had Hugo getting picked 21st to Utah:
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45559441/2025-nba-mock-draft-latest-first-second-round-predictions-all-59-picks
So it was somewhat surprising that he was still there at 28.
If we didn't' take him at 28, he could have been taken at 29, 30, 31, or maybe he would have still been there at 32, who knows.
But he was projected to go 21st..
And some of the bigs we have been clamoring for are still on the board now at 32 - Broome, Markovic, Raynaud, Kalkbrenner.

I assume that includes retirees / disgraced flameouts?

Of course. It must've been worse during your tenure.

It was the same length before, just miserable for the teams since they had to stay up so late and had no time to regroup to make calls on trades / etc. I don't think it was for ratings.

Give them time to investigate non-Fleming options.

I’m a big fan of Bob Myers. Don’t know how he would deal with the new CBA and aprons, but he’s done a great job.

I’m good with any pick at this point with the exception of a draft and stash.

With Fleming going 31st, my preference for us at 32:
1) markovic
2) Penda
3) Broome
4) Raynaud
I like all 4 of them..pick 1 of them, please

Stop with the name-calling or you get none of the Moderators Fund I was talking about.
