its rare to even get 5 guys that are contributors that were taken in 2nd round

I love that trade for Minnesota. Replenishing two seconds at the cost of dropping five slots is great value.

Who wants to draft a guy with mid 1st round talent or a plug and play backup center anyway.

There are 2nd round draft picks with 1st round value and 2nd round picks that are little better than undrafted free agents.
And we chose 3 of the latter over one of the former.

Yea they are useless basically, well unless you luck into the Joker like Connelly did before, but lightning won’t strike twice.

Just trade all these seconds already, attach them to Randle and bring in a Robin.

Is it so wrong to decide which players you value and get excited and disappointed with what your team does?
Isn't that what this place is for? Why are people so afraid to be disappointed and quick to buy in to whatever move is made?

IMHO there were 3 guys left who are better than scratch off tickets and 2 of them are centers which we already filled in the 1st round.
Those 3 guys are highly likely to go in the first 4 selections.
And the experts agree that the draft drops off steeply very early in the 2nd round.

We'll see what happens but I'm massively disappointed with what they did in the draft this year.

I'm prepared to be just as disappointed in free agency because I don't like either of the likely outcomes,
which are either overpay or lose for nothing.

Of course its not wrong. But maybe temper it with the small, tiny, infinitesimal chance that you could be mistaken. Maybe just one or two shades of gray in your strict black or white?

My opinions can be surprisingly elastic in life but they only change when my perceptions change.
I'm the odd duck where social pressure makes me dig in even harder.

So say something to change my perceptions if you want to move me from the black into the gray.
Who are we going to pick at 36 and why is he good for this team and better than the players I like?

Its fine. You do you. If you're happy exploding when you don't get what you want, more power to you.

It just seems stressful to me to not even try to look at the other side of things. But that may just be me.

if he pans out, that level of shooting is something you can run offense through for stretches of a game, like Det does with Beasley, Bos with Hauser
