Orlando giving up a haul for the 32 pick. These teams seem so irresponsible.

He's going to give up $40 million? Ill believe it when I see it. What would happen though if he doesnt play? In baseball if a player doesnt sign they normally get a comp pick somewhere around where the player was drafted.
If he did sit out a full year, he would just re-enter the draft. Under previous CBA’s, the team would get a compensatory pick at the same slot in the second round. So if it is still the rule, the Jazz would get the 5th pick of the second round in the 2026 draft.
Did the CBA change the early entry clause for draft rights?
Basically it meant that a player who wasn't 4 years removed from their high school graduating class was considered 'early entry' and an 'early entry' player who did not sign would have his draft rights retained by the team that drafted them until they reached the point of being 4 years removed from high school.

Well ****. Who's the next 2 forwards to look at? These were kinda my guys.
Also, this feels like watching public access.

They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

He's playing a dangerous game, a year where he is playing in Europe or overseas. There are at least 3 prospects as of now that would go before him no question. I dont see him not signing.
It would be pretty dumb. If he went 5th this year and is this much of a headache, he will go lower next year.

I was never aware of that. I thought they always had to sit out for one year. I’ll try to investigate.

Morey blows. So does Harris.
I’d bet Howie would be a better GM for the Sixers. Balls of a burglar. Lurie spends money and has build a great organization.
Harris is a crooked dickweed. He”ll ruin the Commanders like he has this franchise.

Seems like you’re right, but I just googled and read a quick article, so don’t have a great understanding.
