Basically it meant that a player who wasn't 4 years removed from their high school graduating class was considered 'early entry' and an 'early entry' player who did not sign would have his draft rights retained by the team that drafted them until they reached the point of being 4 years removed from high school.

He's playing a dangerous game, a year where he is playing in Europe or overseas. There are at least 3 prospects as of now that would go before him no question. I dont see him not signing.

I was never aware of that. I thought they always had to sit out for one year. I’ll try to investigate.
