If we use cash in a trade, we get hard capped at the second apron.

Maybe the Front Office did not discard the possibility to go over the second apron this season.

You're right. I knew something was up, but I missed that trade. I'm a bit behind - slow internet connection.

2 sets of cash (3.2 million is the limit) to move from 55 to 36. If they like the guy at 36 . . . why not. What's a few million after spending 10 billion to get the team.

I wasn't sure about that. I saw an article that said the Lakers are hard capped at the 2nd apron now. Leon will want to avoid that for sure.

I didn't think cash in a trade affected the salary cap. Does it?
