I'm not sure who is worse. Dumars for offering it, or Toronto/Phoenix/Chicago for not taking it.

Even the Nets at #8 should have eagerly jumped on it. Even just straight for the 2026 1st would have been a win.

But I wish they would trade Gafford/Thompson for an expiring PG. If their plan really includes playing a lot of super-sized lineups, then they should plan on trying to retain Washington next summer, which means slashing payroll. And if you are slashing payroll, might as well fill a hole now.

castleton and lawson are nonguaranteed. replace either or both of them w/ 2nd round minimums and we should be okay
