Already 24 and undersized at the 2 height wise

You play him as a 1 defensively and a 2 on offense.

Kid is a pure 3+D

Think DeAnthony Melton/George Hill/Josh Okogie

The PG Scottie experiment continues

Our offense doesn't rely on having a pound the rock point guard. Heck, Poeltl will be the offensive hub a quarter of the time. I don't know what you guys are complaining about.

He's going to compete with Shead for backup PG, probably

Kid is a crazy athlete, a DAWG on defense, and he can shoot the 3.

Love this pick.

But what's his downside? Why was he a second rounder?

6'2" SG/SF. His downside is he's 4-6 inches shorter than just about everyone he'll be matched up against. That, and he's a senior who will be 24 in December, so he can go stale pretty quickly if he doesn't develop fast.
I've got a belt on that's holding up my pants and my pants have belt loops that hold up my belt. I don't know what's really happening down there. Who is the real hero? - Mitch Hedberg

Exactly. Between BI, Scottie, Yak, RJ you have your primary offensive hubs.

Melton would be a decent outcome

I'm fine with building an identity for depth in the second round. Same when we were picking Banton in the vision years. You're in full crapshoot mode in this range anyway.

He’s taller than Davion Mitchell

Why can’t he guard PGs?

Looks like the Raps following the OKC trend of finding super active defensive guys but who also play bigger than their size

Dort, Caruso

CMB, Martin

Though he is on the short side he can absolutely guard up a position or 2 because he is built like tank. So in certain matchups off the bench, he could play with Shead, especially if you go with size at the other three spots.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

a Shead/Martin backcourt off the bench could probably work too..especially if we need to lock up double guard opponents

Garland/Mitchell
Brunson/Hart
Haliburton/Nembhard
Simons/White
etc.

Problem is obviously we got too many guards..

Hes a 2 on offense, and a combo guard on defense. Hes an absolute ball hawk.
