Insane shooter, doesn't make a ton of mistakes but also doesn't do a ton with the ball either so not many mistakes to be made. I'd probably would've preferred taking Reynaud and moved Richards

But it's hard to go wrong with a deadeye movement shooter who doesn't make mistakes and has potential to not be a negative defensively

Good info on Kobe

https://www.on3.com/teams/kentucky-wildcats/news/espn-nba-draft-expert-koby-brea-could-go-30s-amari-williams-brings-frontcourt-depth/

Summary: best shooter in the draft but doesn’t offer anything else. His shooting will keep him a spot on a roster.

Just need to trade Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neal, and Nick Richards. Trade Beal or buy him out, I could care less. Suns will be complete in the roster overhaul. Suns needed a culture change as I feel like it had become toxic in that locker room with KD and Beal in there.

What I do like is in B2B drafts we've taken guys who are the best in their class at something that is an NBA ready skill. Last draft it was Dunn with his best in class defense. This draft is Brea with his best in class shooting

KD for Green, Brooks, Maluach, Fleming, Brea, and a couple of second round picks. Is that an okay return?

Need a PG in the worst possible way. this team isn’t going to be good but at least they will give effort on the court.

Indeed it looks like a good haul in this draft.
Mark Williams move was the headscratcher for me.

Getting anything for KD was a win.

Raynaud with his versatility and shooting would've been a nice compliment to Ighodaro and interchangeable in certain matchups with Fleming or possibly even Maluach/ Williams as neither are significant shooters/ scorers!

But Brea is the very best shooter in all of college basketball, an absolute dead eye sniper that you CANNOT leave open! So he'll have a great role keeping defenses from being able to collapse in the paint to stop our bigs.

Also, he's cost controlled and will replace O'neale and Allen (outgoing for cap reduction).

Could we do something like Beal for Ball/PWill/Stix?

That’s the rumor. Let’s see how it works out.

They didn't expect Maluach to fall to 10, So they had already been working on the framework of the Williams trade and it was almost completed as the draft started, but then Maluach fell to them, And then the league office approved the trade! Just a bizarre but beneficial coincidence really. :dontknow:

Sounds like we were probably going to take Fleming either at #29 or now #31 so I think in the end we got the guy we wanted. The 2029 pick is poor one too so likely mid to late 20's so I'm not too worried about it.

At the end of the day, we shored up our C position which I think would've be shakey without the Williams trade.

I think the suns will get cap space or second rounders

Which is fine
