He's good. But to be fair, Im sure lots of others would have gotten those stats if they stayed in school till they were 23. But with bigs, most of the good ones are in the NBA by age 20..

He also only played 22 MPG last year, so no, most bigs wouldn't have achieved that. He's a unique big man in that he's elite at passing and not at scoring. Typically the older bigs are elite scorers on the low block.

I think he’s more solid and ground bound correct?

Matches what Hal said.

I’m just trying to gauge how he might work in the system here. Rob was a high end starter so not trying to say he’ll be that, and does seem more limited athletically. But if he is good enough to play some minutes it feels like the Rob role might be a template for him, even if he’s not as good at it. But just if the guy is good enough to even play 10-15 minutes/game one day, you want to find a way to make him useful in a role.

I thought so too but I just checked and Amari did have 40 dunks this season. Not an astronomical number for a big but definitely a respectable number. More dunks than guys like Murray-Boyles and Queen, for example..

First center they've drafted since Timelord.

And I'm way too high on Amari I have to say. But in fairness I've loved him all year at Kentucky

I had never heard of the kid until I watched 20 seconds of footage on a tweet someone posted in the previous thread, and I have already bought a nice little plot of land to build my bungalow on Amari Island.

On the brightside ... 57 is a LUCKY 2nd round slot having produced a top 5 second rounder of all time in MANU GINOBILI ...
lol... this is the smallest potential brightside imaginable, however

I put him in the same category as Dylan Cardwell but that’s right he’s not nearly that built, more lean.

I knew he passed well but man those are some great passes in that video.

Celtics have gone with defense with their Picks, so let's go with a major offender in Dixon.

Compared to the draft that would be quick entertainment.

FWIW, the best shooter left is probably Curtis Jones..

He's a better shooter than the numbers indicate..he shot a lot of really deep 3's which brought his 3 FG% down. Also his FT% is crazy high which is an indicator of elite shooting..

Off of CBS draft profiles, Eric Dixon seems interesting.
