I don't see why San Antonio would do a sign and trade rather than just signing him outright?

Because that wouldn’t be beneficial to the Bucks 8-)

Dame won't play this upcoming season, even if he's ready at the end of the season, at his age after what just happened you give him the entire year (including postseason if we make it) off.

These are the facts, let's face them and see what the other options are for now.

so let me get this straight...hes medically cleared in February latest and we make the playoffs and he is ok with sitting? we tell him he needs to not play for the thrid year in a row even tho this is the first one hes actually healthy and rested?

yeah...good luck with that. i think he demands to be out there unless we are intent he never wears our uniform again and if thats the case hes probably gone at the deadline if we have any decent season going at all next year.

Just thinking out loud, but Dame coming back as a 6th man is kind of tantalizing for this season. Solves some problems come playoff time.

Sorry but this will be a bit off topic. What do you guys know about Richard Hsiao? He just bought my team in Greece, Aris Thessaloniki. He is super close to Giannis and the whole family. It looks like Giannis himself talked him into investing with his fund in Aris. Thanasis and Kostas are rumoured to join the club. Lots of connections too with NBA coming to Europe.

Need help!

Is there any chance he doesn’t go to Boston at 32?

Can’t imagine he last long. Basically getting a Myles Turner type dude. Ok here is my uneducated, unthoughtout plan for the off-season,

BKN Dame, 31 1st, 26 swap rights
MKE Cam Johnson, Claxton, BKN 26 2nd, maybe more?

MIN BKN 26 2nd, AJJ
MKE pick 31

Draft Flemming, draft maybe Kingston Flemming at 47

Resign KPJ, resign Sims, if there is money to bring back GTJ then we are set.

PG KPJ, Rolling, Kingston
SG AJG, GTJ
SF Cam, Pat
PF Giannis, Portis
C Sims, Flemming

SnT Lopez for any assets and TPE. If we can’t resign GTJ, get Grayson and get some assets to absorb him. I may be off in values, but I love that team and it is young, it can run, it can shoot. I think there is a way to make that happen

Like I don't think he is going to be good next year, but people forget some of the horse crap we have been putting out there pretending to be a rotational player. Like remember Jeff league, Pat bev, and Carter have played major minutes in key games.

I don’t think it’s nearly that black and white. You can make a case that Siakim was the only big in the series better than Bobby Portis. Chet is overrated, Hartenstien is limited and Turner is wildly inconsistent. You can also make a case that Gary Trent Jr, AJ Green and Kevin Porter Jr are all above the likes of Ben Sheppard, Aaron Wiggins and Cason Wallace who all saw meaningful minutes in the series too. To be fair, you can make a case either way and the overall point is still relevant but I think it’s a much deeper dig than just “Giannis and nothing else”.

Playing Bobby over Chet certainly would be a choice.

I'm not going to rip Horst for not winning another one when we've had Middleton, Giannis, Giannis and Dame go down since then. Obviously there's no way to know how the last few years would have ended had we been healthy (we would have had a GREAT shot at B2B with Middleton available).

Too bad Horst didn't know in advance who would get injured each year.

Come on Horst, DO SOMETHING. If you read this board it's super easy to make moves, never mind that other teams have to agree to said moves. Just use the trade machine and you're done. Just sign this guy and that guy. Horst isn't perfect, he's not even great. But, as was said earlier in this thread, he got us a championship AND kept Giannis here for 13 years.

It seems many of you would easily give up the championship we have so we'd have a better shot at a championship in the future. That's crazy

Winning a title is hard and how we won wasn't really sustainable at all. I agree with the thought that Horst needed to be more proactive and build a better fitting roster around our top guy(s). Wasting draft picks and not identifying how the league was trending has played a huge role in where the team is currently at right now.

Feel like we've heard Giannis talk too much over the last 5 plus years to credit anyone else but him for the reason he's still a Milwaukee Buck. Dude is as stubborn as he is loyal.

Isn't the issue at hand that Horst has been TOO proactive in trying to build around Giannis?

Say what you want about him and plenty of moves haven't worked out but hes been anything but passive

If anything the current state of the team and their assets should be a giant wake up call to the crowd that's always screaming "all in"

We've had the same Bobby/Brook front court for 5 years and still have no quality wings. I'd say Horst has sat on his hands there as the league changed before his eyes.

Meh. Take away the projection and hype and it’s definitely close.

Another year where our undrafted/2-way guy(s) can likely make a bigger impact than our pick. Excited to see who we sign after the draft.

Horst is probably content with finding Green, Rollins and rejuvenating KPJ’s career. The Ajax situation is in limbo and Smith is a wild card in terms of his development. I really wish we had a front office that was able to confidently draft and develop.

Hope we see Bojangles in Summer League.
