Matt Norlander‬

Every year some players go undrafted, only to play their way onto a roster and eventually carve out respectable NBA careers. For me, best players who went unselected this year:

Hunter Sallis (huge whiff not getting picked)
Jaxson Robinson
David Joplin
Grant Nelson
Payton Sandfort
Keshon Gilbert

Starting to get excited about that pick.

So excited he waited until 57 to take him...

Hopefully we get one or two of RJ Luis, Hunter Sallis, Vladislav Goldin, and Grant Nelson for Summer League.

So, summing up the Draft,
if Hugo develops a shot, he could be a Dan Majerle type. Amari I think could eventually beat out Queta for 3rd or 4th String Center. Max is intriguing as a 3 and little D guy. Could become the Celtics Summer league fan favorite and great hope...

Wait until you see his shulg and bake move!

I’m intrigued. Dude sounds like he should’ve been a prizefighter from the 1910s or something.

Least we did a lot better than the Knicks :D

Excited to see what Brad ends up doing with our stash of future second round picks.

Plus we got under the Luxury Tax apron.

Next season is probably bit a going backwards to go towards season and that's okay.

Still expect Hauser to be traded and give those mins of his to Baylor Schierman.

If Williams and Shulga both get two ways, which is still tbd, there's only one two way left for Norris, Peterson, or someone else.

Is it safe to say Brad - so far - is not as good drafting as he is trading for talent?

The Celtics-Magic trade from today is official.

Boston gets:
draft rights to Amari Williams and Max Shulga
2026 most favorable of Magic/Pistons second-round pick
2027 most favorable of Celtics/Magic second-round pick (Boston is reacquiring this pick)

Orlando gets:
draft rights to Noah Penda

Based on picking #30 a year ago and #28 this year? Huh?

Schierman looks like being a very solid pick for us with what he showed last season.

dunno ... but definitely Brad is way less intrigued by the upside of deep draft picks than was Danny Ainge or some of the other present front offices like Memphis...

I think Brad is more like: "here's my gameplan, here's my budget, let me go get my players." and just the intrigue of upside doesn't seem to excite him that much

to date, Brad has traded 6 first round picks, 1 swap on the 2028 1st, and made 2 first round picks and has never moved up in a draft...
