Adding all of these cost controlled contracts obviously became imminently critical due to this! But cap reduction will need to be even more from trading Allen, O'neale, Martin and Richards too,

So we can absorb Booker's new deal with 8% escalators.

Right when I was feeling better about this team, Ishbia goes and does this stupid crap! And if Booker cared even remotely about winning he wouldn’t be asking for $70 freaking million a year. He would have team salary cap in mind to help build the team. Booker cares about Bookers money. I am sooooo done with that loser Booker. I don’t want to read or hear from one person that Booker is a “winner” because I hate liars! :banghead: Booker is a tick and he is sucking this team dry of any chance of winning!
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Only a fan of Arizona teams!

The NBA supermax has been detrimental to any team. It handicaps that team in such a significant way. Ideally, CJ McCollum and whoever else on the players board finds a way to improve the salary cap figure in an upcoming CBA, because I think this 2nd apron thing is going to ultimately get players less money.

Nah

Suns should wait. But they wont.

Booker can get injured, why extend if the current contract is long enough to cover the next 3 years

I still don’t get the rush

They put a team around him .. see if he can lead them. If he shows something these next two years, at least one.. maybe

Way too early and not necessary

And thank god they can't be traded
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Let’s keep it going!

C - KD Trade (a B if they had snagged a future 1st as well)
C - 1st rd draft. Malauch is bottom 10 of the top 50 centers at the combine since 2020. He isn't athletic enough to be this stud in the NBA that everyone thinks he will be.
D - Williams trade. If the guy played more than half the season, it'd make sense but jettisoning 2 1st rounders for a guy that is highly likely to miss significant time and be a constant injury risk just reeks of more desperate Ishbia moves.
B - 2nd round picks. I think the picks aren't bad but we gave up a decent amount for them. I'll raise this to an A if the guys we drafted turn into rotation pieces.

A - draft - center of the future , best center in draft . Fleming some had projected all the way in top 20 . Koby can shoot, and if we can get Nembhard with undrafted I’ll add a +

B - williams trade , hope he can stay healthy, but 2 late first rounders, I don’t care about

This franchise NEVER learns.

$70mil a year for this one dimensional player with ZERO ability to lead a franchise.

Sign CP3 to help our bigs with positioning and open up their offensive/defensive awareness. This would be the only signing I'd be comfortable with getting an older player. I don't want Tyus Jones back.

Suns can keep their 2029 pick if it finishes top 5, last time I read the caveats around it.

As expected Richards/Martin are on the block.

Maybe everyone else will be in a Beal trade?

I’m happy . Even if this team finishes around .500 it will be fun to watch the hustle and growth

The team now needs to send Allen, O''Neil and Richards out.
The average age then goes down significantly and Suns become one of the younger teams again.

ONLY way I would be OK on the Booker extension is if it raises his value being secured for 5 years. Otherwise, its pandering to Booker. Another way for the extension to be OK is if Suns are getting a discount... which I dont think they are.

Beal agreeing to a 15%+ discount on a team that DID ALL the bad decisions. I dont think he will agree.

Only way is if he agrees to the trade to a team he likes or a city that he wants to bring his family in. So pretty much rules out a lot of cities.
