Jk + moody for Wiggins coming up
Great, I'll be looking forward to him disappearing for 2/3 of the year again. If their offseason acquisition is Wiggins, they're screwed. They won't be a bad team, but they're not going anywhere either.

Re: 2024-25 NBA Draft Talk
Here's my prediction (or hope, as it were): The rights to one or both of tonight's 2nd round picks will be used in a trade (or two) in July.
Recall the Warriors still have an $8.8M TPE available. They can acquire a player making up to that amount, but they have to send out something. A player, a future draft pick, or even the rights to a drafted player.
The other team, assuming this were the case, may be wanting to trade such a player without having to take back salary. And the Warriors have all of their 2nd round picks tied up through 2031, and with the Richard trade, a potential on the 2032 2nd round pick.
So, the rights to these two drafted players could be used in a trade. And if there is another MDJ multi-team trade, they might be needed there. Any trade where they might need to include a 2nd round pick in order to meet the trade guideline of each team sending and receiving at least one asset.
No idea whether that's the case here, but I figure I would toss that out there.

Re: 2024-25 NBA Draft Talk
This toohey guy looks somewhat promising (watched 1 highlight package). Looked kinda like a mix between Tom Gugliotta and Austin Reeves. Hopefully the mix is the good traits of both.

I feel like we could have just kept 41 and bought the pick for Richard. Seems like two poor value trades. I guess if the picks work out it wont matter.

Yea seems likely. Hell we could’ve just bought 45 or 36. But you can only buy like once every 2 years so maybe we’re saving our cash for next year when we don’t have a 2nd.
Definitely not the most optimized use of assets that’s for sure.

Re: 2024-25 NBA Draft Talk
“The Golden State Warriors have signed several undrafted free agents to camp deals following the 2025 NBA draft. These players, including Kaleb Wesson and Dwayne Sutton, will compete for roster spots during training camp. Additionally, the team may have interest in restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga, who could receive offer sheets from other teams. “
Google’s AI about as good as a MDJ draft day trade.

Is this true? I did not know that, and it would explain a lot of what happened today.
