Maybe Onyeka Okongwu if Zingis is apart of their future

Robert Williams III
Nic Claxton
Jaxson Hayes

Wasn't there a post about Portland having the highest odds to land RJ? I mean, they do have a surplus of Centers now. But do we want them...

If they come cheap I can see it.
Onyeka Okongwu would be nice and his contract is amazing. But he is on the shorter side.

I can see Masai maybe getting Ayton if he thinks that's our future center and we can reup for cheap.

Trading RJ for a big solves everything.

Ochai/Walter could start and be our Nesmith, Dort, etc.

Our starting lineup pops out in a bad way.

We gotta fix the IQ/RJ/BI trio.

We can’t have 3 mid to bad defenders on the floor at the same time anymore.

Guess trade is the only way now.

It feels inevitable a trade will go down

Guess it's great times for people who believe Masai Ujiri can pull rabbits outta his ass even working from a position of weakness because it's dead obvious what Raptors are desperately lacking.

What if he approaches a team with a surplus of C, or a team who needs to get rid of a C for w/e reason. What desperation, like that's not how trades work.

They only need to get cap compliant by the end of the year, being over it to start the year is not a concern when there are many easy ways to get under.

I think they just sign a semi serviceable backup C (someone like Mason Plumlee), bring back Garrett Temple both for the min and call it a day.

I know that is true but I don’t think we will put ourselves in a situation where we need to pay to get under later for someone like Temple to be our 15th man. They likely just make a trade now if they can clear some space and get a back 5 they value more. Still have hopes of a Santi Aldama sign and trade.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Is there a team out there that has 8 Cs on their roster? Maybe Utah actually

Portland is the obvious target. Ayton or Timelord

Don’t like either, but is Timelord fully healthy?

I would say just based on history, backup 5 is not a position Masai is willing to pay a high price to fill.

I just want a rim runner C for Scottie to throw alley oops to and defend. We are not maximizing Scottie’s strength

That is certainly true recently but at same time we had JV and Yak, then we got Serge. Ran with Val and Serge platoon until we got Marc and Serge. Those were pretty expensive, 5s both in draft capital given up and salary.

For the record, I’d be fine with keeping Barrett IF we had a stretch big, or other shooters in the lineup.

But we don’t. We only have one reliable 3pt shooter and that’s IQ. Ingram is average, Scottie and Poeltl can’t shoot.

RJ is the weakest link because at least Scottie and Poeltl provide defense. So by process of elimination, bye bye RJ.

Gogs is only 25, Ochai for goga would be good value return for both teams. Orlando can go with WCJ n Mo Wagner
