So it wasn't just me. The alert I got from Bleacher Report had to be wrong. He didn't say that he was the frontrunner.
Make the Knicks great again!

Borrego meets the description of what we're looking for.

if they go Borrego they need to find a big name associate HC that can coach the defense.

Vogel would be ideal, but rumor is that he might wait for another HC opportunity. but w/ 2 years out of the cycle, it might behoove him to take an associate HC role

I wouldn’t mind him. He’s the only coach I’ve seen to get the hornets to compete

Am I the only one here who thinks they could legitimately go into FA without a HC? Like Hahn said they would have one by FA but what if Hahn was wrong?

I was gonna say, looking at those rosters he only had one year where he had a decent group. After he got fired the Hornets went from like 43 wins to 27.

I'm open to it. We need a defensive minded assistant that can help construct a team defense that doesn't have us bleeding points with KAT and JB.

Few days ago I mentioned a Brown-Borrego duo @ head coach & associate head coach. Brown has a rep for good defense and Borrego good offense. Both coached directly under Pop for years too. I wouldn’t be mad at that. Dunno who gets to be in the top seat, but idc honestly. Either way, I’m good if we got both.

Yeah I’m open to him too. I would rather take a shot at him than Mike Brown.

I’m not sure any coach will be able to fix KAT and JB’s defense tho. Thibs is probably as good as it gets when it comes to defense so if he couldn’t do it I’m not sure any other coach can. But we’ll see.

I'm thinking we need to make our offensive system so potent that defense won't matter.

Like I don't think we will be horrible defensively if we clean up our 3 point coverage and mix in some zone concepts to help. But that's a big if.

We gotta drop buckets

Brown is a big Princeton offense guy, I'm not sure about his defensive philosophy
