Thibs is no longer here...Why do some of you keep saying he will never play? We are specifically targeting a coach who will develop and play guys...

Looks like according to this Diawara is good friends with Dadiet: https://www.nbadraft.net/mohamed-diawara-nba-draft-interview/

What do you need scouts for when you got Pacome doing all the work?

Knicks fans in France approve this year-to-year French picks by the Knicks.

I was looking to see who might be available that went undrafted and I didn't realize how quickly teams were picking players up. I already see 8-10 players on 2 way contracts.

Great selection in the 2nd round. Swing big.

Sure he looks the part physically, he's versatile defensively at a size and length the Knicks need more of. I see him dribble and shoot a little in those videos and it doesn't look clumsy or broken.

So with the 50th pick I'm going to give this FO the benefit of the doubt because I don't know enough about anyone in the 2nr round of this draft to argue with it.

It's hard to think he'll contribute anytime soon but what player was going to do that available at 50? Who knows. He has some promising upside I suppose.

Its a lot easier to dream about him than someone like Trevor Keels.

Hope we do get a player development system here to maximize these guys.

We just hired our new player development coach: Thomas Thibodeau

For the trade down did we acquire the rights to Oscar Schmidt's estranged nephew?

To balance uneven trades.

It’s somewhat helpful and necessary but not that exciting or important

He’s incorrect the best players they draft late are guys with high FTA rates, smart, who can shoot, and are usually on the older side.

The Knicks haven’t made a raw player a good player in my entire fandom since the 90’s. This current FO certainly hasn’t shown any ability to make a raw prospect a good prospect. Don’t even get me started on the fact we don’t have a coach.

Flipside this team has a LONG history of drafting and being disappointed by French league players. Maybe this breaks the curse but they could have just traded this pick for future seconds and taken this guy as an unsigned 2 way.

He has an NBA body and NBA athleticism. He is comfortable finishing with either hand. He is clearly raw but I like this pick. Rarely do you get this upside this late in the draft. He shows potential in shooting, passing and ball handling. At worst he becomes a utility player defensively.
