I don't see the point in Davison playing here. He has played three summer leagues already and he was the MVP of the G-League which is a higher level of competition last season. Let Jordan Walsh try to rebuild his confidence and see if the shooters can handle a bit more creation duties.

Not sure why Davison plays in SL. Does he really have anything left to prove?

Hopeful on Hugo but tbh playing in Euroleague playoffs or whatever might actually be a more valuable experience. I never felt like SL did anything for development despite the coaching, just because it's a completely haphazard style of play.

Not kidding when I say I viewed the drafting of Gonzalez as a shot across the bow of the HMS Begarin

which, to be fair, is on the bottom of the ocean, near the submerged remains of Juhann Island

BUT IM THERE WITH IT!

Begarin is amazingly only 22 still. Yam 24. I'd probably invite both to summer league and see if they come over.

To entertain us?

Give me a Davison/Shulga/Scheierman/Peterson/Amari Williams starting five, bring Walsh and if available Hugo off the bench. Would be an elite passing SL team.

Seriously though they probably give him the Springer treatment, let him play a game or two and then hand it over to the developmental guys (of which at the PG spot the team doesn't have anyone currently).

They said during the draft he won't be. Hopefully that changes.

I hope Hugo plays and Tatum in the crowd to support as I’m going to be in Vegas to catch a game or 2.

Brad said in the conference they are not sure as Madrid just finished the season but I think he will play. He obviously wasn't playing much, so he does not need the rest, IMO.

I do not expect him to be a part of Spanish NT, so he will have enough time off after SL.

Jordan Walsh and JD Davison are both younger than Amari Williams and Max Shulga.

I thought I read somewhere that he will play in some Europe summer basketball junkets rather…I don’t recall where I saw that.

JD Davison has a barber in Vegas and a handful of steakhouse waiters numbers in his phone. JD calls ahead when hes coming into town for summer league: "yo, it's me, im back, get my table ready."

lol

I don’t get why we never go after the top undrafted prospects. They always end up with teams like the Sixers, Lakers, Heat, or Nuggets. Last season, Justin Edwards was better than anyone we’ve drafted in years and he was right there.

For this post-draft, the Celtics have no two ways to offer outright, so they couldn't entice the top undrafteds as they'd be outbid by teams that could immediately make that offer. By the way, this was how the Celtics got Sam Hauser. Boston offered Hauser a two way, while his first choice, Miami, did not.

Year 3 SL I expect Jordan Walsh to be one of the top players and to only play a handful of games.

Doesn't mean much though as JD is unreal in SL but is a 3A player - too good for G league but not good enough for NBA

I think one reason you play JD is to give the roster some semblance of order and get the other guys in the right spots, etc. It will help them have a more meaningful experience, rather than random chaos out there.
