Beasleys shooting was special for us last year, I really hope we don’t lose him.

This kid looks like the best shooter in the draft with a Beasley type of ceiling though. He can actually learn a lot watching how Beasley does it.

I really think Dennis has always wanted to start and there a few teams who will need starting point guards this year. He may take playing time over elsewhere over our money. Dallas, Milwaukee and The Kings all gonna need a lead guard. You can’t really blame him if he goes. He’s trained his whole life and has believed he was better than he is. I really think we will be signing a new back up point guard.

Cade/Tyus Jones/sasser
Ivey/Beasley(full MLE)/Lanier
Thompson/Holland
Tobias/stewart/Fonty/klingman
Duran/Stewart/Reed

Need to clear some people out if u can send Font Sasser Klingman out in any trade for future second rounders(good for moving up in round 2) or a bench wing 3 and d guy.

I do. I also hope we do. He was fantastic for us especially come playoff time.
I think we sign him to a nice contract that finally gives the guy a home and keeps him happy. Especially since him and Beasley will be our bench guys.

I was scared for a moment with the news about the Kings, but a few things to consider:

- Schroder is old, why would he want to go play in Sacramento...even if they can pay him a little more. He's gotta be sick of bouncing around by now...and Sacramento is a bottom of the barrel franchise with no hope at the moment.

- Yes they can give him a few more minutes a game and still need a real PG, but even if they bring him in, they are likely going to continue to search for a real starting PG for their future...and if they don't trade Monk, I don't think it is a guarantee that he will be a starter. They may even play a guy like Devin Carter over him to develop him once they are officially in tank mode.

- Kings have been attached to a million other backup PG names as well: Westbrook, Jrue, Marcus Smart, and Brogdon to name a few.

- Schroder has been vocal about liking it here, and is tight with Beasley (used to live with him when they were Lakers I believe)....Schroder has been vocal when he has been unhappy elsewhere, so if he was ready to bounce from us, we may have caught wind of that by now.

Wishful thinking on my part that he stays. We need him, and he seems like a confident enough guy where he thinks he will earn his minutes if he sticks around. We can play small with lineups of him, Ivey and Cade at the 3 --- I think he will see similar minutes this year even with Ivey returning because he flat-out produces and JB likes him.

He shot the lights out most times I watched him at Tennessee, a true marksman, and was thinking that he'd be a 1st rounder but the defense does leave a lot to be desired. He's pretty much a THJ/Beasley type of guy but far cheaper so the hope is that he can fill the THJ role I'd assume. Actually he's a perfect fit for this roster because they can hide his lack of defense better than most teams.

I think they need to give Klintman some run especially with their clear weakness at the 4, he has a very intriguing skillset.

Haha, word!

As far as 2nd rounders go, as is my usual stance, I expect he'll wash out of the league fairly soon while simultaneously hoping he'll become a gem.

Somebody needs to get in this guy's ear and drill into him that he can have a nice, long career if he focuses on playing good defense. A proficient catch and shoot 3pt shooter (which he already is apparently) can be fine if he also plays defense.

But if folks thought that was plausible this guy would have gone earlier than 37 right?

Yeah, the 3 &(NO)D archetype doesn't tend to have a lot of staying power. If they did Jimmer Fredette would still be getting those sweet NBA contracts, and not have to try to cling to relevancy by being on the 3 on 3 Olympic basketball team.

Don't know anything about him, but watched some on his highlights. Weird ass shooting form but it works. He swished like 6 LONG threes in the first half of a game vs Baylor last year and has a super quick release. Don't expect much else from him, but hell, Duncan Robinson makes $18M a year and only shoots threes. THJ is the same.
