LAL sends Vando/Kleber/Vincent + value
LAL get Ayton
WAS sends Holmes
POR get Vando + value.
POR sends Ayton
POR get Kleber/Vincent/Holmes
My reasoning, Lakers get their Center who is extremeley overpaid next season but can help them not get crushed on the boards. WAS get a versatile defensivo wing, saves 2m next season, but will need more incentive. POR turn a BIG expiring into 3 small ones easier to trade into the season, or if they can negotiate the buyouts, save some money, but might need some incentive.
How much value LAL needs to send? Seconds? Knecht? Maybe Knecht to WAS and WAS sends a second to POR (to help them to part with Ayton). Or we will need to add a 1st here(what might kill the deal on the spot).
Luka//Reaves
DFS//Reaves
Hachimura
Lebron
Ayton/Hayes
This team looks like a contender?
Dont see lakers have any intrest to add "value". Vando is more value then holmes, but somehow the "value" part ends up with washington.
Also lakers sends out 32 and taking back 34

So which stars are getting traded this off-season now that the draft is over and free agency seems limited.

we are at 181.8M for 13 players right now
CMB will make 6.3M
so thats 188.1M for 14 players w/ tax line 187.9M
turn Lawson and castleton into 2 second round minimum players = 4.45 - 2.55 = 1.9M freed or 1.7M beneath the tax
so we have enough room to add a 15th 2nd round minimum contract, or if we want a veteran minimum contract then we are limited to 14 man
I’d say having to waive guys and bring in 3 2nd round minimum salary players is pretty dangerously close though. But if that’s the plan, that’s the plan.
Dont think its that dangerous.. not like we are hard capped against apron. Can always trade/dump Agbaji if needed
Y’all really like Agbaji though…I thought he was a KEY piece going forward y'all were building around?

let me tell you a story about being tight against something.....Now yes Toronto could choose to go into tax, but that seems like such a terrible idea for this roster.

Is Ace Bailey going to give us a good old-fashioned hold-out to try and force his way out? I wish no ill on the Jazz, but I'm curious how that would look in this league environment.

I never understood the idea of drafting a non generational player that don’t want to be there.
Seem like you’re drafting a problem.
On the other hand, I’m all for player choice but this seems a touch too far by Ace team. Seem like bad advice and an inexperience agent.

Even as a Jazz fan, I would find this highly entertaining. Downright hilarious actually.
I'm trying to find anyone who can convince me that Austin Ainge isn't a paste-eating moron at this point.

Re: Rumors, Random Thoughts, and Non-threadworthy Posts The 19th Hole
Is there a realistic trade that involves Simons to the Mavs and Gafford to the Celtics. The Celtics big need it a starting quality big. Maybe they are able to bring Kornet or Horford back and maybe they don’t want to take on Gafford long term money? Seems the Mavs still need a lead guard. Boston now has a ton of future seconds to grease any skids needed.

How far off to people view the following:
Bulls in: Derrick White and Sam Hauser
Celtics in: Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, Jevon Carter, and PDX pick (lotto protected through 2028)
Celtics continue shaving cap to get below tax aprons (shave 10.9m here). Celtics get two young guards in White and Ayo who they could re-sign at the end of the season or all 3 are expirings. Carter could probably be bought out or kept.
For Chicago - I think White is a perfect backcourt player to have in Chicago with Giddey. Hauser is a shooter, long-term money Bulls take on to help with the value.

I think there should be. The rest of the matching is tricky though.
Hardy/Martin isn’t very good and probably costs a couple seconds to turn into cap space? Dallas would also probably have to dump Powell just to use taxMLE at that point.
Klay is the same but a bigger single contract.
PJ, Naji, (and maybe Christie though I’m less of a believer) shouldn’t be used unless Dallas is getting value back?

in the world of conspiracy theories this is the way for Utah to get the 2026 overall first pick. Probably a Walker Kessler to the Lakers deal whould seal it.

The Celtics reportedly turned down the 9th pick for White.
I don’t think they will trade White.
I’d say this proposal needs another pick added. A better pick.

A team that is not ready to compete - Utah - may be fine with him sitting.

I think he and his agent just are confused by Utah's reputation of being pass-first and team-oriented based on prior history. The team will explain that we play garbage chucker ball and he's going to be thrilled. The team will force him to take threes instead of long twos, but otherwise, they're going to be perfectly fine with him being another no defense blackhole like the rest of the roster other than Kessler and Collier.
The location doesn't matter as much to him as him being allowed to chuck up as much garbage as he likes and the Jazz love players chucking up garbage.

Think ace bailey situation also interesting that teams didn’t want to trade up to get him. Danny wasn’t going to allow it for cheap but Pelicans sent an unprotected pick to get Queen. They should have send a deal for Ace.

What's the value difference between Naji Marshall and Donte Divencenzo? Asking as a Naji stan and Mavs homer, so not sure if I'm way too biased, but think its a trade that makes sense for both

They seem similar, maybe with DDV having a bit more potential since he has shown he can be higher in a playoff rotation and has a bit more juice offensively.
