Elite catch and shoot guy, really good range. Feels like both their second round picks have talents that will play up in the NBA with more space.

Pretty good assist rates as well with steadily improving TO rates, are they going to let this guy run point in the G-league like Stauskas/Peterson?

I really like this pick at 57.

What I love about max is he is 6'5, he is tough like Hugo. He is a good all around played.
He averaged 15 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.8 steals. He shot 39% from 3 and 78% from the line.
He also helped take his team into the March Madness tourny.
I love guards that can rebound. That's what I love about Josh Hart's game and Jrue in 2024.

And I remember Wyc explaining once that Rondo was a good rebounder, which they considered a good sign in scouting a college PG, because it meant that he didn't mind sticking his nose into the action, as was required for playing the position in the NBA.

Didn't watch the whole vid but that first clip in this vid looks just like a move Payton Pritchard has done many times. Looks like a 6'5" Pritchard on that play.

I'm intrigued..

I watch the film sessions on guys, the good and bad, 12 minutes in and he can’t shoot. I know the numbers are good but man a lot of misses early. He does play like Pritch, as someone said, just not as much of a sniper or in cockiness.

Edit: going to keep editing as to not post multiple…

Oh no, most of the shots he’s made have taken 7 years to get off. Looks like he has time to study out there.

Shulga is one of those players who I want to love. He’s a shooter with a long track record of making shots. He can also do so off movement. He’s a way tougher defender than he gets credit for. He guards well at the point of attack and has no issues getting into someone’s space. I just wish that he was a bit bigger. The pathway here for him to make it in the NBA is pretty narrow, although it certainly exists. It’s quite similar to someone like Sam Merrill, who has become an exceptionally valuable rotation player in Cleveland and will get paid this summer. The issue there, though, is that Merrill is genuinely one of the best shooters on Earth while also being able to hold his own on defense, whereas Shulga is merely a good shooter. To stick in the NBA, Shulga will probably need to hit that level as a shooter given that he’s not quite strong enough on the ball to legitimately play with it in his hands in the NBA. He’s a clear second-rounder to me, but one I would have interest in drafting in the mid-second round.

His film sesh is nearly 3hrs. I can’t do it. Well, I will, but over time. He’s not electric, little boring. He is a good shooter, but not as good as I thought he would be.

Again, get on his bandwagon, he’ll probably become a good NBA player!

From what I saw he was a good catch and shoot guy but not good off the dribble. Big contrast guy.

Yes. I was referring to the sports in which Ainge was a high-school All-American.

Is he still the only guy to have done it in all three, or did somebody finally match him?

I like Shulga more than our first two picks. I think Austin Reaves is a good comparison; similar strengths, weaknesses, and physical profile. Reaves is also a passable statistical comparison, Shulga was more statistically productive but also played in weaker conferences.

In any event, like Reaves, he has the necessary skills and abilities to become a high caliber role player in the NBA, even if he has limited talent and less than ideal measurements. On this note, Joe Charles is a guy I'd love to see in summer league and/or training camp, he is another low upside guy that, on paper, has the necessary skills and abilities to make it as a role player in the NBA.
