I only follow SEC and the tournament. Rutgers wasn't in either.
But, I'm with others who can't figure out how a team with two guys in top 5 finished with such a bad record in the big 12 last season. I guess it is usually a pretty good bball conference though.

I love that he is immature and trying to have fun on the court. Stay out of trouble and try to improve every year he will be fine.

Like Florida who went from early exit to Champs with the same team sometimes you just have to learn how to not step off the gas. Gators had way more energy this year. If say the same for Okc who before didn't take charge as much as they should have. I mean Luke at Duke that was a monster team and they played like it until they didn't.

I mean, Anthony Edward’s was a #1 pick and his team was bad, yet he’s the key player in turning the Timberwolves franchise around. Sometimes, these teams in college are bad with good players, it happens before the player figures it out. Ben Simmons is another, sure his career fell off, but he was a great player for a while every bit worth the #1 pick despite not being worth the second contract.

I watched about 70% of Rutgers games this season. His shot diet is atrocious and he doesn’t get to the rim. His his efficiency is garbage for someone who is just a "pure scorer."

The Jazz drafted a halfwit who doesn’t even want to be there.

If they wanted to swing for a star, they should’ve just taken Tre Johnson.

he didnt report to utah yet, right? i mean, im all for player empowerment and maximizing the situation. but this is a really weird look to me.

Because he doesn't want to go there?

The problem is the lottery, not the player. Rookies should be allowed to control their own destiny. Why go to a place you know you won't commit to long term? Waste of time for everyone

Prior Gators team still went 24-12 overall that season. They also added Martin this season who went to Final Four with FAU.

Rutgers went 15-17 overl this season.

Yeah, no. That's not how this works. And while I understand the point you're trying to make, the reality of playing in the league is how it is: You're given a huge opportunity and a lot of money to do something other people would, legitimately, kill for.

Put your big boy pants on, wipe your eyes, and GET TO WORK.

Why? The draft is part of the parameters of the league. He can play in Europe if he doesn’t like the draft.

Waste of time? He gets paid generational wealth to play a child’s game.

Everyone with a job has to do things they don’t want to do. In the NBA, playing in a city you may not prefer is one those things. Show up and be a professional.

If players want the benefits of playing in the league, then you have to play by league's rules. The league's rules are part of the reason the benefits to players are so immense, and they make so much money. It's all part of the system.

Nobody is forcing him to play in the NBA, he can go play basketball in Europe if he wants, and pick his team there.

But if he wants NBA money, has to play by NBA rules. It's really very simple.

Please make an example of this guy about players trying to dictate where they go on draft night. That **** is terrible for the league and horrible for franchises. The NBA doesn't need Ace Bailey, Ace needs them. Theres a sense of entitlement that needs to be nipped. If he doesnt report he won't get paid, let's see how far he wants to go

If this is your take i assume you tried to predict how this plays out. What do you think happens when you allow these guys to choose where they go. Let me guess, you must me a fan of a huge market team huh? The draft is part of the process of making it to the league, EVERYONE goes through it. The problem is this spoiled child probably had way too many people telling him how special he is that he thinks he's above everyone else. Things happen for a reason and I sense a reality check coming

If it makes you feel better - this is an isolated incident and has nothing to do with Ace. His agent is rogue and is doing all of this...he doesn't have any other clients. I wouldn't expect this to become a trend.

No the problem is self entitlement. If that’s how you feel as a NBA prospect you stay in school get a degree, the NBA isn’t for you. What’s next all players getting no trade clause on their contracts?
