Here are our current salaries: $177m including Walker, Butler, and Council. If we cut Walker and Council we're at $172m for 10 players.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/philadelphia-76ers/cap/_/year/2025

Resign Grimes for $16m
Sign VJ for $11m
Sign Broome for $2m

Now we're at $201m for 13 players. The 2nd Apron is $208m.

That means we can sneak Yabu, or a replacement like LaRavia, in at the tMLE of $5+m and still stay under the 2nd Apron with around $206m in total salary.

Re-sign Grimes and Yabu is all I care about. Grimes is a lock. Figure out a way to sign Yabu. Get it done.

As long as Yabu doesn't ask for more than the tMLE of $5.7m for year 1 we can resign him. If he wants any more than that we can't.

Can still dump some contracts or sign him for one year with a promise for more next year(if he's willing).

We can give him tMLE this year, then full MLE without using the actual MLE via early bird rights next summer.

We can do the same for Oubre now but he hasn't played well enough to justify a raise.

I´m kinda meh on Yabu. He is a good 3 pt shooter, but he doesnt rebound well. I like him, but dont know if he´s that valuable.

Morey/Nurse get to have Gordon OR Lowry on the team this year, but not both! Preferably it's Lowry, and it's on the coaching staff instead...

They'll almost certainly decline Lonnie Walker's option as well.

I believe that's probably why. Nurse has to have his guy.

They could still bring Butler back for slightly less. I'd rather have him than Lowry or Gordon. We don't need a veteran especially if they're unplayable. Those guys flat out can't play anymore. Butler can. Sick of Morey bringing in scrubs as a veteran presence and wasting roster spots. Going all the way back to DeAndre Jordan.

They'll be kinda screwed at forward if Oubre and/or Yabu walk. Free agency looks rough.

Oubre will screw himself by opting out. No way it happens.

Expect we'll use assets, hopefully just 2nds, to move out Drum.

I think Gordon comes back, before he got injured he was actually having a nice stretch and he could be a Bahamas mentor for VJ.

Lowry should be gone and hired back as a team assistant coach.

I think Grimes is only going to get 14-16 mil, probably on the lower end now that Nets used up cap space.

I'd really like us to go after Santi Aldama; but I don't see a path to it.

[Charania] The Philadelphia 76ers intend to sign F Justin Edwards to a new three-year contract after declining his team option, sources tell ESPN. 76ers and Klutch Sports' Rich Paul and Josh Hairston negotiated the new deal for Edwards, who averaged 10.1 points and 26 minutes last season.

Good news. Wonder what the terms of his new deal will be.

Edit: Looks like about 7 million over three years. Nice deal
