If Giannis was available, Knicks would offer a package around KAT. They can’t have too many picks to trade though after blowing their load on Bridges. I guess how Milwaukee feels about Towns would determine Heat’s chances.

I can imagine this being like the 04' situation where we traded all of the kids (expect for Wade) for Shaq. Bam is clearly our 'Wade'.

27 YO Bam with an overlapping skillset as Giannis except worse than Giannis at everything except being a more versatile defender...

yeah that is not the same complimentary pairing as an unstoppable two way scoring guard complimented by a dominant paint force in Shaq. Sadly the better option would be replacing Bam with Giannis and keeping the spacing.

There's nothing sad about it. I'd be absolutely estatic to replace Bam with Giannis. If what Riley was doing when passing on Durant (reportedly) was to stockpile picks to offer a package centered around Bam and 4+ picks or whatever it is that we're reported to have available, sign me up yesterday. I don't think it gets done though. We'd have to include Herro as well and then we'd be left with a team that would be worse than the one he's currently on.

That giannis talk is a pipe dream… i know adam silver is working with the lakers and milwaukee to see what can they do to get it done, which will end with the Bucks getting a guarantee at the first pick of next year’s draft

Ya'll underestimate Bam... he is a franchise guy and stars in the league wants to play with him. There will not be an offer out there as good as Bam, a couple prospects like Jovic & Jaime + 3 picks. That competes with any package. If you can build around Giannis/Herro/Ware/Kas and have max space in the offseason you just do it and don't look back

Id do it without hesitation.. ill sell every single one on our roster not named Bam to bring in Giannis, and have them play with a bunch of g leaguers/one year deal minimum players for the 2025/26 season and build on from that.

Lets remember the talent level of our reserves once upon a time outside the big 3, chalmers, haslem and mike miller:

I'm just going off what others have traded for and I think its going to take an absolute haul to get him. But I'm hoping you're right that Bam would be enough.

If so though, I think Riley would then have to go all in and trade Herro + whatever for a proven all star. I can't see Giannis wanting to play with that roster over what he already has. It would have to be someone who is at least in the Herro tier, but has had real success in the playoffs, or at least gotten his team to the playoffs as a first option on his own multiple years. Like the Fox tier (but I don't think he's being traded anytime soon).

Giannis will be like the rest. He won’t want to be here without Bam, and rightfully so. He’s the only proven winner in the rotation considering Wiggins is likely out the door.

Can Whitmore is 6’7 230 with very good athleticism and can shoot. Hes also only 21 (in about a month). Give me that over paying loads of money for Kuminga.
