He said that he's 245lbs, I think the final landing spot for him will be 255-265. He will keep his speed advantage over most centers, while having a weight/strength advantage over wings.

wait,,,,,he's going to come in at 7'7!!!!!!!!!!!??????

I think it's more he's 7'5" but has been listed at 7'3" by the Spurs. It's obvious he's taller than 7'3".

He was 7'5 still playing for Paris, we knew this, but his recent off season photos made people question reality. He possibly did grow and could be over 7'6 by now, I mean look a this, are Timmy and Robinson standing one step below Victor to just mess with the internet?

My friend who saw The Admiral a few years ago says he's more like 6'11 these days.
I can see Wemby being 7'4.5 bare feet but that's about as far as I'll go, all the "He's 7'7!!!" takes are just nonsense.

This a height chart I posted earlier here that someone made using legitimate 7' tall men as base points to compare Wembys and Yao's Heights.

Image

Wemby comes out about an inch below 7'6" Yao. Wemby has wackier proportions to Yao so he can appear taller than that.

And as pointed out The Admiral is near 60 now, he's not at peak height.

We may have to wait until/if that 7'8" Olivier Rioux ever gets drafted or he just meets Wemby to get a better baseline.

Wemby clearly doesn't have those genetics. As noted, he's not Giannis. He just isn't built like that.

Yeah, but this is essentially what I've been saying the entire time. Gradual, normal weight gain is fine. Emphasizing weight gain is different than just doing strength training. So you keep trying to correct me, but we're saying basically the same thing.

I think we see bulking very differently. That isn't gradual. That's making every effort to add lean mass without drugs or getting fat.

If I as a man who's spent 20 years in the gym added 2 pounds of muscle this year. First, you'd know I was on steroids. Second, I'd have been bulking like crazy to get there.

I am very disappointed that Tim spent his whole career looking the way he did, but then started having cool hairstyles in his retirement. If Admiral not a tpeak height, which sounds resonable, how tall is Timmie then? They said guy was 6'11 or 7''0, does not look that way then. As you said, maybe its shoes?

I think Timmy kept his hair that way it was for function. How the F you gonna play ball with all that hair? (says the bald man who's been shaving his head since he was 19).

But yeah, I'm guessing Timmy is walking on the floor basically while Robinson had nice dress shoes looking professional on.

I'd just add, not a big shoe guy but I've started upping my workout shoe game and it's pretty wild how different the height of a squat shoe, general workout shoe, and running shoe are. The squat shoes might give me 3 inches. The running shoes inch or more. And the general shoes are basically just half an inch of rubber. Really feels different but they all have their role.

I agree with this. 245 right now, so he's added about 30 pounds from his 215-220 draft weight. Has a whole offseason; he could be 250 by training camp.

He already has put on at least 20 lbs of bulk/muscle. Doesn't need to overdo it, but he'll continue to fill out.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

Of course he should. He could add 30-40 pounds of muscle without affecting his athleticism pretty easily. He’s freaking huge.

I think he should be on a somewhat large calorie/protein diet in the offseason but idk about like going crazy with weights or making that a big priority. I don't think he needs to be that big to dominate. Adding like 5-7lb per year for the next 5-6 years will be fine imo.

No he might be 7'7, look at him compared to Robinson whos 7'1. Hes ridiculously taller.

the image is distorted. the only two who look normal are the two in the center. wemby and tim are larger and distorted off to the sided like a wide angle lens. wemby and tims faces are wider from the distortion. and David's head is weirdly tiny compared to all three. AND LOOK AT DAVID'S BABY HANDS.

but regardless i think wemby is pretteeeee tall, z'all i can say

Exactly. He’s already looking stronger but while maintaining his athletic flexibility.
LeBron has a 17.8% field goal percentage and a 12.5% 3-point percentage in clutch situations, and also made 20 of 116 game winning/tying shots in 4th/OT during his career

There's this crazy assumption that it makes you more likely to get hurt and less mobile. Football players arent less mobile. They're elite and while theres no need in basketball to have those proportions, especially at 6'6, there is still far more benefit for weight lifting than downside. You lift, you stretch and you shoot. Not to mention there are basketball specific muscles and excersizes one can focus on, instead of bodybuilding muscles.

Wemby is the first one telling you he needs to become stronger. That doesn't mean he needs to add weight

Yeah but its gonna come with weight. And it should to be frank. He needs to at that height be able to move bodies and resist body moving against him or changing his momentum. He needs to own space instead of move around it and avoiding it. Itd give him more options and again, Im not asking him to be a bodybuilder but you get stronger, then youre gonna gain weight. Its just a side effect and a good one at that.

But thats my point, even now youre saying " doesn't mean gain weight", cuz youre scared of it. Its been engrained somehow this misconcenption that gaining weight through muscle is bad. Its a positive. It'll create faster twitch, explosiveness and sturdiness. We gotta stop correlating injuries with size.
