Unfortunately, it seems like Udoka is calling the shots now.

The front office wanted to stay the course (so did I), but Udoka aggressively pushed for Durant.

Whitmore has been in Udoka’s doghouse, so he might be gone too.

Yeah that's only 9 guys - hardly a crazy amount of depth. And you really want more depth than you think you need to get through a full season. I'd want 12-13 guys that I trust for rotation minutes even if a couple won't get them at full health.

The Rockets are likely to keep Aaron Holiday & Nate Williams and re-sign Jeff Green & Jae'Sean Tate to reasonable deals.
N'Faly Dante is a capable 3rd center who will probably replace Jock Landale (either on a two-way or a standard contract).
Their only real NEED is another true shooting guard/combo guard.

Nate Williams sucks and Tate will probably go somewhere he has a better shot to play but they can fill those spots with other minimums. Holiday is only kept if they don't find a use for most of the mle.

Assuming it's a minimum for all that's better than I thought would happen, figured Jeff at the minimum was very likely, Holiday would either get his option picked up or sign elsewhere, and Tate would get a minimum somewhere else for PT

His defense isn’t bad. His passing is legendary atrocious. But, he can score. Put him out there with four defensive focused guys and he could average thirty. Just not sure how efficient he would be when they double and he can’t find the open man.
Partly why I thought Detroit might work. Put him and Cade out there with three defensive bigs.
I think he should pull a protected first. I would keep him over seconds.

Team defense isn't good because of mistakes, but I see effort at least... he isn't a bad defender on the ball. Just like his passing isn't bad in transition, just halfcourt.
