In every explanation as to why, it spoke on the team's talent......none of the articles mentioned how coaching gave the Knicks any sort of advantage.

We are stacked with guys who make big plays on both ends...and the we have the most clutch closer in the league. Fizdale could have coached this team past the Pistons, and this roster was built to beat the Celtics......but when Thibs actually had to use his brain and coach vs Indy, he got exposed.

Thus, the FO and the players unanimously wanted Thibs outta here. Glad he's gone.

Not a single analyst had us beating the Celtics. If you think Fizdale gets this team to conference finals, I'm just going to laugh at you.

No one said either of those things... it's like you're creating your own thoughts in your mind and inventing an argument to have with yourself.

Ive already shown the headlines and articles before the season where many sports outlets were saying the Knicks are contenders: Knicks proved they are.

Leon got KAT and Mikal with the intention of beating the Celtics: we did that.

As far as the Pistons go, they have half the talent the Knicks have. Should have swept them. A monkey could have coached our talent through that series.

What are you going on about?

So glad Thibs is gone. Such an awful, outdated coach.

If we can't find a coach in the NBA, maybe we'd still do better interviewing some monkeys?

Thibs can spend his 30mil free money on a hairpiece and a mail order wife now. Good for him! He deserves it!

I think Carlisle did a fine job coaching with almost no hair. That's probably a thing potential mates like far more than fans do.

So it was Dolan after all. Explains why they seem so unprepared to hire the next coach.

Vast majority of the fan base and people who know ball all agree thibs had to go and firing him was justified yet we have people in the coaching search thread about to act like it was a mistake solely because it might have been dolans decision

I don’t like Dolan either but his only mistake this time around was not doing this sooner. If it was his call then good job. Someone had to do it. If he canned that man in 2022 like he should’ve we might be champs right now.

I said it from the beginning. It was kind of obvious to anybody that’s followed the team long enough to know what went down. We were right. Dolan made the decision. Leon Rose had no plan because it wasn’t his decision. Sent them into panic mode and they started calling teams for their head coach not because of some great plan but because we were desperate. Now we have to hire a coach that Dolan will approve

Nice, so the meltdowns on Twitter by Knicks fans after losses got Dolan to fire the coach.

Once you heard that Dolan was in the meeting asking questions you know he was a big part of the firing. Thibs should still be the coach and Leon is not supposed to be searching for one. They have no idea who they want to hire smh

I want the "Thibs fired" thread to live on and thrive. They're doing this thread a disservice by mucking up our official coaching search thread with their crying and raging over Thibs getting fired.

Would love to have that content here in this thread to keep it alive.

It really explains targeting all those coaches that are under contract, which pretty much no team ever does cuz they don’t really love the crop of free agent coaches and were pushed into this decision.
