Jo-bear is a good nickname for him as well, but I'm sticking with Joan of Arc.

The biggest problem with Joan of Arc is it only works spoken out loud. Because "on paper", its hard to see it and not think its the female name because of the context.

Them French like women's names for men. Jean for example.

And yet its not pronounced like the women's name.

So when you write it in the context of a woman (Joan of Arc), people are going to read it as if you're calling him a girl.

Plus its a bad name for his skill set anyways. Anyone "of Arc" should be a shooter.

But it doesn't matter because you're going to be the only person using it.

Of Arc is intended to mean he forces opponents to put a lot of Arc on their shots.
As another poster here mentioned Joan of Arc was a badass male or female. It is a badass nickname no matter how you pronounce it. If it catches on great. If it doesn't boring.

Its almost as bad as the guy at Canis that has tried to make "Seatbelt" stick for McDaniels for years now.

This is a really interesting snippet from the "Draft Confidential" series The Athletic runs leading into the draft. This actually was in the writeup on Hansen Yang, taken one pick ahead of Joan Beringer:

If Beringer had his skills, he’d be a top-five pick. But he’s slow. Beringer is fast as hell, but he’s limited.

He’s only “limited “ because he is new to the game and hasn’t been coached up yet.

How about "go on Joan!" with every block or dunk?
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Not a single "power dribble". He just catches it, keeps the ball up and dunks it.

The 3rd clip is a very impressive catch of a ball thrown at his feet.

Refreshing - and impressive.

I am pretty confident that in 4-5 years the FOUR teams that picked much less athletic, older, slower and fatter centers just before JB are going to get absolutely clowned for those decisions. 8-)
