What’s the Giannis connection?

He’s from Nigeria and they may have talked a couple times.

I think Masai helped his family with the immigration process when they were coming over to the US. Raptors fans would tell you they're best friends but I don't think the closeness of the relationship is really known at all; just that he helped with immigration.

The clip of Collin Murray-Boyles dropping an F bomb after the Raptors selected him was hilarious.

I heard an interview with Ace Bailey on NBA radio maybe two weeks ago. After about five minutes I came to the conclusion I wouldn't go near the guy if I had a high lotto pick. Shades of Marbury, Stevie Francis, Isiah Rider

I really thought the "attitude" stuff with him was overblown like it usually is during the pre-draft process, but man, maybe the kid really does have this much of a toxic ego. Do him and his agent really think they can maneuver their way out of Utah still?

Apparently, he's never seen their skyline.

Personally, i think we need those kinds of players in the league for entertainment purposes. We have Ja but beating up kids and flashing guns isnt the way. Just be an ego maniac knucklehead on the court. Things have gotten very robotic and watered down overall in terms of personality. I hope this kid is a problem.

Ainge was right to pick him, I’m sure he’ll figure it out if Ace becomes a bigger problem. Have always hated the fact that teams caved on Francis, Manning, etc dictating where they’re going.

It was especially foolish for Utah to deal with a malcontent, who to begin with was a hyper-inefficient, chucking, bad decision-making, bad defending, losing player. He at least ought to have fallen out of the top 10.

If we're making a move to appease Giannis the better one is to simply bring back Thanasis.
Dude wants to win anothe chip then maybe he should stop trying to be a GM

Woah. Good for Naz lol. Big fan of him.

What does Bobby’s next contract look like? Feels like this just set the market for him.

Didn't some think we could sign him for the MLE?
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I have no idea what to think of contracts in the new CBA.

One of the more ridiculous thoughts of all the Giannis thoughts.

5/125 for Reid is hilarious.

There was a fan Naz was beefing with a month ago who basically told him he's not going to get anywhere near 100mil.

yeah, that was my gut reaction too. but i think this is one of those adjustment moments where the contracts look bigger than they should when really it's just inflation.

It starts at 21.5 with 8% raises, and the cap will jump 10% each year, so it will relatively become a better contract with time.

Still, that’s a lot of money for a backup.
