Does no one here know that the Pistons signed Brice Williams? Did I miss the thread?

Summer should be Ron dominating and Chaz firing away. Hopefully some solid Klintman, too.

Not really any star-studded rookie matchups. Knicks and rockets didn’t have a first round pick, though the wolves have Joan bringer (drafted with our original pick) and Miami has Kasparas Jakucionis.

I always get excited for summer league every year, and it only takes about five minutes of watching before I can’t take it anymore.

I feel like every year people forget that the guys we want to see barely end up playing most of the time.

I agree I’m always excited and by halftime of the first game I’m questioning why? I’m hoping Ron and Klitman play really well together, and that Ton dominates both ends. But I actually feel like it won’t be his scene and he’ll look awkward and it will mean nothing when he comes back next fall. That’s just kinda how it goes in summer league usually.

Jenkins / Ziegler
Lanier / Williams
Holland / Williams
Klintman
Garcia

Williams and Garcia are going to impress. I wonder how much we actually play Holland in Summer League

Langdon indicated Holland & Klintman will be getting significant run.

I saw Garcia last season and was very impressed. He's a true power forward at 6'11" and shot over 37% from 3 and improved his scoring each year with the Gophers. He was also a McDonald's All American. I can see him actually making the 15 man roster, particularly if Klintman doesn't improve from his horrid g league numbers.

Am I the only one who thinks Ron should sit out Summer League?

Honestly have basically zero interest in summer league this year beyond getting a first look at Cooper Flag

I'm glad he's on the roster for practice reps, but I don't need him to play many minutes against a bunch of scrubs.

Yeah, holland doesn’t need SL minutes to learn how to compete. He’s got that part down. He needs lots of reps in the gym getting shots up and tightening his handle.

Holland in summer league is great IMO. He might be taking on a bigger role with the bench this season and he's still super young and raw offensively. Let him go out there as the main guy and see what he can do. Holland is still just 19 years old (for another week) and is young that most of this year's 1st round picks.
