I think both of our new rookies are already untouchable. Wouldn't trade either one of the for Joker if possible.

Soon to be 39 year old Jeff Green is re-signing with the Rockets.
Now Horst has to come up with a plan B.
Jeff Green is one of those players where you say How the hell is this dude still in the league?
Then 5 years later after you say that, he's still in the league.

Part of the reason our SL teams have been so brutal to watch in years past is that guys like Andre, Marjon, Livingston, and AJ were never the kind of players whose games/skill sets ever translated well on the court when they're asked to be the main offensive guys.
Sears is exactly the kind if guy who should be suited for SL.. If AJ were any good, he should have too. Athleticism, playmaking, creation. If youre a guard and you dont have enough of those to look good at SL then its a bad sign.
Sears is gonna rip
AJ performed well in SL until the last disastrous game, summer league isn't a good indicator outside if you have adequate athletic traits which AJJ does, & he is on a good trajectory after being taken as a known inexperienced/raw prospect. So I don't get the point here.

it all comes down to intangibles with him. we were witness to none of it in the lockerrrom. if hes a dude there and was a fit then im all in the way you guys go for it. if he was ugh then..... come on now....we go a different direction if money is talking for him this offseason. this **** matters this year if giannis is on the struggle with this team

This time, it starts at the point where it's KPJ against mostly good defenses on the final stretch and includes playoffs. I'm not going to give any agenda, i just forgot about some of these plays and was floored by the raw potential. Enjoy

His chemistry with Giannis in the 2 man game was what I really liked.
It's baffling.
You get Dame and for 2 seasons him and Giannis can't seem to figure out their 2 man game to save their lives.
And then out of nowhere KPJr comes in and he has the best chemistry with Giannis since Middleton.
Is it Dame's fault?
Is it Giannis'?
Is KPJr just better at it?
Don't know but I want him to stick around to find out, lol.
Dame is too short to be Giannis's pg and he spent his entire career as shoot first, pass second. Good teams figured it out, trap Dame with taller defenders and force him to make a difficult pocket pass. To counter that the coaching staff should have been working on making him a deadly off ball shooter, run off screens and picks like Curry. That would take competent coaching and a guy whose played his entire career and won tons of awards playing one way to change.

As the cap sheets currently sit only 3 teams(BYK/DET/MEM) can pay more than then the non tax payer MLE for a free agent. Correct?

Let’s focus on Brook Lopez for a second and theorize that the Lakers want him as their man C target. Is there a way to get Dalton Knecht or Austin Reeves in a S+T deal? What would we have to add if anything to get the player between the two that they are more willing to deal in a Brook S+T?

He's one to two years from seeing an NBA roster.soxperry wrote:El Pooch Grande wrote:Bernman wrote:
We have not yet seen Sears not being able to hang physically in the NBA at least, unlike Ty-Ty before we acquired him. And Sears at least has strength + athleticism. Ty-Ty was much taller, but still didn't have any physical component to gain advantages relative to opponents.
IDK why anyone would be excited about players from mid 2nd thru 2-ways. They're the true lottery picks. Just have to make some better bets w/ reasons they pan out. W/ Green it was shooting & strength. Sears it's that + athleticism, to hopefully overcome being much shorter.
Not that it really matters for the NBA, but Ty Ty Washington was never a 1st-Team Consensus All-American either. He was pretty nondescript his 1 year at Kentucky. Sears meanwhile has been everything to Alabama that Brunson was to Villanova (aside from the NCAA Titles) during his collegiate career.
yeah, granted the odds are against him due to his size, but you can't just write everyone off because of low probability. you give them a chance and let the chips fall. but this kid has heart, so that's something.
Just gotta see. With both guys.
Wish Doc was gone.

Naz Reid got 125 million. Bobby is going to be looking for big money.

lmao they're not going to give any assets for an unrestricted free agent whose value is around the TPMLE.

Bucks only need to be willing to offer Bobby slightly more than the MLE and they’ll have outbid everyone other than the Nets could possibly offer him.
If he wants a massive deal, he can find a team that wants to do a S&T and the Bucks get some assets.
Personally, most I’d offer Bobby is: opt in so Bucks can use the MLE and BAE, then you get a 3/60 extension with year three being a team option.
If he opts out and takes a full MLE elsewhere, nit a huge deal because you can recreate his salary slot via a Brook S&T in combination with the existing TPE.

Given that we have zero chance at a title next year I'm good with just a total reset in the front court and moving on from both Brook and Bobby. Bring back Sims, let Tyler get some run, **** let Beelzebub get some run too, and get whatever other athletic rim running C you can via trade/FA. The "Giannis needs a floor spacing 5 next to him" thing has always been silly to me. Get as athletic as possible and that starts in the front court. If we're gonna win in the low 40s we might as well experiment and see what Giannis can do with some other athletic, defensively mobile dudes next to him.

We finally have a chance to build a switchable roster, and Horst responds by bringing in the 2 littlest dudes he can find.

He’s looking for his Jose Alvarado/Payton Pritchard/TJ McConnell/Davion Mitchell.
It’s short guy summer for Horts.
Using deduction, he will probably bring in Tyus Jones by the end of the offseason.
