Goga Bitadze for Alvarado & Bey

Bey is not a throw in for me. We are able to make that trade straight up via trade exceptions though( Jose for Goga). And yes, I could see that making some sense.

And then you can flip Karlo Matkovic to Denver for something. You don't need so many Cs

Keeping Karlo, he's playing the 4.

Would we be able to make a deal around John Collins for Alvarado work? Not sure where the value adds need to go.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I think the money is a bigger issue than the value here

I would have loved Collins as a backup four, small ball five before we got Queen. No real need now IMO. And yes, the money makes it nearly impossible.

I liked what I saw from Richards in the few times I watched him. Not a fan of Alvarado's game at all; his value to me is mostly as an unlikable pest.

I say this with complete seriousness, Jose was worth at least 5 wins in our 23/24 49 win season. Just a really smart player that can control pace and flow, value possessions and create turnovers.

True point guards and drop centers are gold for the regular season. Like a middle relief pitcher that eats up innings but you don’t trust in the playoffs.

Jose + Hawkins
for
Goga
or for
Jalen Smith + '28 CHI 2nd
or for
Prosper + Powell + Brandon Williams
?

I think the Pels need backup bigs more than guards now, and i wonder is ORL CHI & DAL prefer to swap backup bigs for guards?

I'd play Zion at a wing position now too

Poole/Zion/Murphy/Queen/Missi
Fears/Herb/Peavy/Karlo/ ?
Elfrid/Boston/Reeves/Bey/ ?

have Dejounte coming back at some point too.

Might just sign a FA big though.

He was definitely the best center on the Suns last season, but that's kind of like being the most promiscuous nun at the convent - not really the most difficult thing to achieve. Richards is a solid back-up, signed on a bargain contract, but not really NBA starter material.

Has a few matchups he plays well against and looks like a starter, but the rest of the time, he's completely confused on both ends of the court. Picture rookie James Wiseman on the Warriors. And now pretend that exact player is 27 years old. He's 7' and moderately coordinated, so he'll stay on rosters for the foreseeable future, but he's not good.

Suns should take this trade in a heartbeat.

This can't be possible. Half the time Wiseman looked like it was his first time on a basketball court.

yeah that's what I said about Nick Richards several times per season his entire tenure here

I think Richards looked much better in Phoenix where he had to do less with the ball than in Charlotte, and could just focus on rebounds, defense and catching lobs. Not to say that he was exception at those things, or that he's an NBA starter by any means, but he looked like an NBA bench player on a good contract in Phoenix. I think the best spot for him is a place like the Lakers where he can play a discount Gafford kind of role (he's obviously not as good as Gafford).

ORL would prefer that

Yea Goga would be a good addition. 5th starter level C, big bodied, let's Missi and Queen develop in key bench roles. Jose for Goga straight up is great. Pels could make Hawkins or Matkovic available to push the deal through, although Hawkins probably doesn't do much for them since they took Jett over him and he doesn't play much.
