My main take aways from this year's draft:

1. TC and our front office were not nearly as excited about the players available at 17 and 31 as we were.
2. They didn't see a lot of rotation minutes available for potential draft picks and decided to go with what they saw as the highest upside at each pick.
3. They are still a little delusional about Miller and Minott and attached to their own failed prospects.
4. Zikarsky was probably 4th-5th or later on their 2nd round board but the difference was so marginal in their eyes they would have rather traded down. Going all the way down to 45 they were probably OK with 10 players at the start of the round.
Amari Williams went one pick later and is ready now as a backup C but with less upside than a guy as long as Wemby.
5. The Center position had a crazy amount of depth this year and we got probably the 2 with the highest upside.
The guard value was pretty inflated due to the scarcity. Maybe we were smart to read the draft this way.
Time will tell.
If some of Clayton/Clifford/Traore/Saraf etc become good NBA players and Beringer never does anything, it will be a pretty big miss.
It's probably going to not look like a good decision next year at times but we will probably know for sure by the All-Star break of year 3.

Pretty good analysis. However the Wolves were VERY EXCITED about one particular player available at 17.
