I still can't get over the Pelicans. If Siakam misses any time there is a chance New Orleans traded away two 2026 lottery picks in 48 hours. This is probably the worst draft-pick based set of moves since Olshey dumped Baron Davis with the pick that became Kyrie.

EDIT: nvm, spotrac has first rounders at least under cap holds. Which makes sense.

Depends on what you want.

I like this one to help visualize the depth charts (but the ads suck)...

No Matter what trade any GM pulls off, they can always say, "At least I didn't pull a Nico"

If the Pistons don't retain THJ/Beas, would they be interested in Klay? A swap for Simone?

Thought process being Dallas then uses Simone and/or Naji to upgrade the play making guard situation

Pistons should make a play at Grauson Allen with Fontechio, perfect THJ replacement

I want the Jazz to call and make nearly any trade with them at this point. Pretty certain the outcome would favor the jazz no matter what.

I’d be offering Lauri for Murphy and Jones+ and just see how deep the stupidness goes.

How desperate does Dallas have to be to call Philly about Lonnie Walker? They drafted a guard. They already have two really good young guards… Walker isn’t very good, but knows how to score.. Just trying to look for targets that don’t involve any of Dallas’ centers or forwards for some reason..

How desperate does Dallas have to be to call San Antonio about Malaki Branham? They drafted a guard. They already believe in their other two guards and are paying a fourth guard 25-30mil… Branham isn’t very good, but knows how to score and can run a pick and roll at some level.. Just trying to look for targets that don’t involve any of Dallas’ centers or forwards for some reason..

Lonnie go ahead - there’s some sense there he’s still a contributor
Malaki - just pay up for an actual upgrade or find a point guard from overseas or a score first guard that’s out of the league right now .

Sixers are happy to accommodate Dallas' needs for a guard. 2nd round pick for Lonnie and he's all yours.

Gafford, Martin, Hardy to Charlotte
Simons to Dallas
Nurkic to Boston

Boston gets a bad but playable center and trims 8.7 million more.

Charlotte gets Gafford for Nurkic by paying some guys they don’t want instead of paying seconds. Martin would be kind of nice depth and plays the right way..

Dallas gets a scoring guard?

2nds going wherever from whoever?

(Dallas needs to trade Powell and cash/2nd for nothing after this in order to use taxMLE, but that seems easy enough..

No interest in turning Gaff into NO D undersized Simons, even with dumping Martin/Hardy.

I'm not fully bought in on him but I think Houston is gonna chase NAW hard with their mle.

Fred/Reed/Holiday
Amen/NAW
KD/Tari/Whitmore
Jabari/Tate
Sengun/Adams/Dante

Is a pretty deep team with a lot of guys that can slide up and down positions

Mr. Joe Dumars is playing 5D chess. Trading away those first in the next draft to secure future star Queen-- will motivate his players and staff by making them true underdogs with no tanking backup plan. 'Us against the world'... 'prove all these doubters wrong' mentality with the biggest chip on their shoulder. Zion- activated to prove the doubters wrong. Poole- remember how they all laughed at you? And down the line it goes.

Also, its important to remember that Dumars has strong connections in the league office from working there the past few years. Just like Nico Harrison's "Silver Special" guarantee of a top pick if he traded Luka to the Lakers-- Dumars has been assured that neither the Pacers' nor the Pels/Bucks pick will sniff a top-4 lottery position, no matter the odds. There are levels to this.

They got their King in the Pacers trade (rights to Mojave King), so they had to make sure to get the Queen, too.

yea that team is pretty stacked. Can you still avoid the tax if you use the MLE? If not I wonder if they think its worth starting the tax clock on NAW

I’d rather route Gafford to Boston somehow. The Celtics maybe disagree with me as Brad is talking a lot about flexibility.

Is Brandon knight ready to come back and be of service to the king and queen ?
