I think Zion and young Randle are his closest comps on offence. That doesn’t mean he’ll be as good as them but I don’t see OG and Scottie at all in him on offence.

He’s a special mover for his size, relishes contact with extreme fluidity. Way better touch than what Scottie has displayed too and is light years ahead of OG in terms of body coordination.

His jumpshot is just so ugly though in terms of his mechanics. He’s got special touch for his size so hopefully Darko and the coaching staff can fix it but I’m not holding my breath.

With his height/reach/hand size etc. He's on that Jordan/Kawhi build.

He can be much more offensively imo.

Anyway. We just drafted a dude in 2nd round that 99% of us probably havent even heard of in Penda.

So when we deep dived into him, i swear he reads like CMB. 6'7/6'8 heavy longboi wing that cant shoot but loves to bully on defense. Plays undersized 4/5.

Anyway since you guys probably backgroundchecked CMB to death and probably mentioned Noah also... can i ask whats the difference between the 2?

Penda's not a big on-ball scorer or an elite one in the paint like CMB projects to be. He's also more grounded than CMB imo. Slower, less athletic. CMB has more tenacity (dog) in him.

Noah's better as a connective passer. I would say closer to Mogbo than CMB.

Yeah i kept hearing that CMB is Draymond while Noah is Boris. I guess they mean in passing?

Anyway i thought that was Noahs calling card. That mean and dog attitude in defense. CMB is even more insane in that area? Lol

Wow MLSE showing the incompetence already with pushing the new draftees press conferences out to summer league. Back to being a joke franchise

Sorry, is this really a big deal? Were people that eager to hear Steve Simmons ask CMB why he doesn't want to play for Toronto? Michael Grange to ask which parent taught him the love of the game? Are people really upset we have to wait a few weeks for these prospects to visibly react to hearing Eric Koreen's voice for the first time?

Masai leaving was a big deal and he wanted to leave after the draft.

Koreen always made me cringe but every time I hear him now I remember the disgusting pedo joke he made last year about 12 year old boys in Africa. I look forward to the day he is no longer covering Raptors.

Yeah he's nothing like Draymond or Mogbo, I said it before the draft and I'll say it again, he's a respectable 3pt% away from being a hell of a player.

Can you please sell me on him? I don't see the hype, especially offensively.

Offensively he's gonna be stronger or quicker footwise than most of whoever is guarding him. He also has amazing footwork for his size and strength, all of those aspects are highlighted by his great finishing ability, he's also a lefty which is a cool wrinkle
