Shams: Lonzo for Okoro

Post#1 » by boozapalooza » Sat Jun 28, 2025 3:06 pm

Shams just tweeted it. We’re trading Lonzo for Issac Okoro straight up.

Where are the draft picks???

Also how many wings who can’t shoot does one team need…

He shoots just fine...on low volume.

Ideally a precursor to a Pat trade - they play the same role.

Tough to expect any picks for Lonzo.

okoro makes $11m a year and is a youngish guy who provides solid wing depth and can be relied on in a way that you can't with lonzo. i don't love him as a player but this seems pretty unremarkable to me

It seems the trade does not work straight up so maybe a three team trade and/or other players involved.

They are both 10-11 million for the next two years. Same contract.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Wtf..That might be the worst trade he’s done so far. Okoro is useless.11m!?!?! Caruso trade is a masterpiece vs this one.

I tend to like Lonzo more.

But pretty boring trade.

Looks like we’ll look to re-sign Tre Jones then?

I don’t know how AK manages to do it, but every time he makes a trade (or doesn’t), I’m underwhelmed and numb.

I hope we got at least future pick along Okoro! Okoro aint bad actually, great wing defender, decent Huerter backup at SF spot.

This could mean more deals are coming now.. and I hope we announce re-signing of Giddey 25M per and Tre Jones 9M per..
