We have to make a decision on Okogie soon. So if cut, Micic slides in as the flip piece in this proposal.

My suggestion was just to save Boston more money. Would save Boston about 5 million more and CLT owes value somehow so trying to find it.

If they don’t end up needing to pay to dump Okogie (or Micic) then they get to keep second or two that CLT owes

Add the right 2nd on top of 2027 Pelicans 2nd and we bridge close to the 5 million. After that we are splitting hairs.

I’m in the minority here as earlier I posted Gafford, Martin, Hardy, 2nd for Simons like an hour ago..

And that feels a lot better for Boston than Green, Micic, 2 seconds. Martin more useful than Green. Gafford return a better asset/cap space from third team..

I don’t think Simons is very good, but Dallas should be exploring any option that brings in some form of scorer / pnr/ playmaker etc to Dallas imo.. and Simons can do that.

I missed that one, but I definitely like that better for BOS. Mavs fans still prefer sending Gafford over PJ, even with the extension?

Most mavs fans don’t want to trade either and want to find a way to get a useful guard without trading any of our bigs.. some even seem okay with DLO/Williams and one of Exum, Spencer, DSJ..

I would rather get value for PJ before he hits free agency and gets better offers or Dallas just can’t afford him because they didn’t trade AD.

But if it’s PJ - I think you’re looking at better guards than Simons before settling for Simons. Monk, Coby, etc.
