When you point a finger at someone else, you’ve got 4 other fingers pointing right back at you!

But seriously, from the 19/20 season to today, Lonzo ball has shot 38% from 3 on almost 7 attempts per game. I would absolutely read that as if he’s the 38% shooter from 3 he’s been the last 4 seasons of play, rather than the 31.5% shooter from 3 he was in 17/18 and 18/19 combined. That doesn’t seem like cherry picking as much as recognizing when he grew as a shooter and what he’s consistently shown.

His big issue is health. He’s a pretty decently reliable shoot from 3, and he’s a guy that is a smart defender, while having a roughly 2.4-1 assist to turnover ratio.

You just cherry-picked a ton of stats. If you don't use FG%, you are cherry-picking

If you don't count these seasons...if you don't look at FG% but eFG%....etc...etc. I'm starting to think you're either related to Lonzo or you have a tattoo of his jump shot on your arm

Credit where credit is due: the guy worked on his shot, completely revamped his shot mechanics and has, like J Kidd, become a guy who can hit the 3 to the point you can't just ignore him.

If I were to mention that Jrue Holiday has a career eFG% of 51.8, would he argue that Holiday is also an atrocious shooter?

Jrue Holiday has never, ever shot sub-40 FG%. Lonzo has managed it twice. Lonzo' career-high in FG% is still lower that any season Holiday has played.

So, DeAndre Jordan (career 67% FGs) is a better shooter than Steph Curry (career 47% FGs)?

36 fg% 34 3pt% last year. Under 40 fg% for his career. Atrocious.

Cherry-picking stats doesn't make him the player you want him to be.

You should use eFG%, I get the nostalgia of the 1990$, but it's time to evolve from the 1990s

The post against "cherry-picking" is the one cherry picking, adorable. Lonzo had just returned from 2 years of not playing in the NBA, of course his stats in 35 games of irregular health sucked. Do you know what cherry picking means?

I’m highlighting the absurdity of your argument that FG% is the only accurate way to assess efficiency and that anything else is “cherry picking” stats
