Imagine a team spending ~$200-$260M on two players who have shown almost nothing in the NBA.
To be fair we did spend 180 mil on Lowry and Duncan so its in our nature to make these type of moves unfortunately.
Someone needs to be FIRED

Whats the 26 cap space plan again?
Luka?
Looks like Mathurin and Jalen Williams will be RFA.

Kuminga is a 22YO super athletic wing with great size that puts 22PPG per 36 on decent efficiency and gets to the line at an ELITE rate as a 22YO.
He has his warts, sure. but not sure what are you realistically expecting to get when we don't want to offer any of our "keepers" players or future picks. It's all about keeping his contract short and taking a gamble without losing any assets for him, unless you consider Wiggins an asset - I don't.
It's the textbook definition of a low risk high reward move, Kuminga has tools and ability to get to line that NO ONE on this roster has, not even close. And he's 22YO. you gamble you can improve his jumper and desicion making, if you can - you've got a true young stud. If you can't - all you've lost is frigging Beta Wiggins.

But he doesn't come with the lottery-ticket-hope Kuminga does, and that's what seems to be the most important to many posters on this board: how old is he????

Re: 2025 Offseason Season Thread Vol. 3
If Heat cannot not achieve to make a big trade maybe it is an option to try one more year with this roster and make the moves next year.
With a big trade I mean more Giannis. I think that he is a Pat Riley type of player and Heat have to try to trade for him.
I think that if the Heat stay with the same roster, they will be better the next year than this one for the following reasons.
1)Ware will be better next year for sure
2)Heat drafted a very good pg who can start after some games in next season
3)Wiggins will be healthy and more acclimated with his teammates
4)Jovic will be healthy
5)Maybe Herro can improve even more because he is young enough
I personally like Wiggins to stay with the Heat.
I wanted him out of Golden State but I think Miami is a good fit for him, although he had bad luck with the injuries this season

12M/year for Mitchell is an overpay. At least it is only 2 years.

Free agency is deader then Spo's hairline, it's a joke to call it a plan.
No desired player is hitting free agency anytime soon, the new CBA made sure of that. Keeping open space for a star is completely useless. It's only use it to take on bad money for assets - which this front office never does.
We're not getting anyone good for free, it's the simple sad truth.

Pat Riley is discombobulated now that he can’t buy players in free agency anymore.

Very good deal for Davion. 12m is nothing in this CBA.

Definitely minimum. Teams dont have money. Hes going to pick whichever place gives him the best chance to get minutes and compete and win. Hes gonna be making 10M so another 2M is a win.
The interesting part will be next year.
Hope we waive him and sign Burks. Or maybe restructure Duncan and trade him, if allowed?
