Hooooo big move right there. If he dominates AA for a month or two, we might even see him get a cup of tea with the major league team this season.

I love it when prospects get better when they face better competition. Which is exactly what Nimmala is doing this year. When are we going to see him promoted to AA? He’s the youngest player in Vancouver (…by far) and he leads them in both HRs and 2Bs. He has a great looking swing. With easy power to the pull side. …at 19!

When those pitchers are all back healthy again… this system is actually pretty darn good again ;)

I agree. Love to see the system on an upswing and Stanifer had another really good game in Vancouver the other night. I don’t personally think Nimmala is ready for promotion. He’e really struggling in June. He’s something like 6/39 with 13 strikeouts and one homer. I’d love him to stay in Vancouver until he’s dominating competition.
As for Yesavage, it’s really interesting to see how they’re bringing him along. I don’t think he’s broke four innings pitched all year. He’s also throwing a ton of pitches over those innings with his insane strikeout percentage but also very high walk totals.

So two weeks ago his numbers looked even better .. is what you’re telling me about Nimmala ;)

Im ok with him putting in most of the year in Vancouver, but I like giving players a month or so at the next level if they have earned it. That way they learn what they need to work on to pass the next test.

For a system that wasn’t supposed to have any OF talent, they just keep pumping them out. Roden, Barger (technically he is
both Inf and OF, but could be called an outfielder), Clase and now Robertson… with RJ Schreck (…who has started AAA with a bang) coming right behind them.

That is one heck of a lot of LHBs getting spit out of this farm system. Most weren’t drafted by the Jays, but that’s ok. That is what the lineup needed, and they went out and found cheap talent to go with all the guys getting paid the big dollars.

the older players they have acquired the last few years like Clement, Lukes, Lauer and Heineman are playing HUGE roles during this hot stretch. All great low key moves by Atkins.;)

Looks like we just picked up a AAAA starter, Robinson Pina, for one of our recent draft picks. Just advancing that funnel a bit, I'm assuming?

After his performance last night - 5 one-hit-one-walk scoreless innings - I wonder how long it will be before Yesavage is promoted to BUF.

His previous AA start was kinda rough, tho. It was nice to see he bounced right back.

King, Stanifer, Stephen, Watts-Brown and Yesavage are all turning some heads this year. They will have some ammunition if they decide to be make some additions at the deadline.

The one you're missing is Kendry Rojas. He is back healthy and is looking like he will be promoted to AA soon. LHP with mid 90's velocity and multiple secondary pitches that generate whiffs. He might be the Jays' 2nd or 3rd best pitching prospect.

Is Rojas turning heads, or rehabbing? Also, whats your definition of “soon”? do you think they are going to jump him from Dunedin to NH? I know he had a dozen starts in Vancouver last year, but I dont see them leap frogging the C’s to send him to AA for the first time. Especially not after a handful lf actual starts. I doubt he is in AA before 2026.

On a different note, Iknow he isnt a prospect anymore, but has anyone heard anything recently about Manoah? Tiedeman is starting to throw bullpens. I thought Manoah was even further along than him… What about Barreira?

Was just wondering the same thing yesterday, so checked. Acccording to fox sports:

Manoah (elbow) is set to throw two innings in a bullpen session Tuesday at the Blue Jays' spring training complex, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Impact: The right-hander threw 25 pitches in a one-inning session June 24, but next Tuesday's session will be the first time he's been asked to handle multiple up-downs. Manoah could begin a rehab assignment afterward as he enters the final stage of his recovery from last June's internal brace procedure on his right elbow, which would likely have him on schedule to be a rotation option for Toronto some time in August.

Secondly, maybe because it kinda feels like they are doing it with smoke and mirrors, but I’d really prefer to build our prospect pool rather than gut it to take a flyer. It’s been so bad for so long, it’s starting to creep back up and if we dip into it for what I feel would be a very unlikely deep run, we’re back to the bottom again, especially after Bo leaves. (Anyone heard anything different about him?)

We’re not ideally constructed for a miracle run than we were last couple seasons, our rotation has been meh, and our bullpen is filled with hot and cold guys, we’re more winning on the backs of hitters, many imo veterans playing above their true levels and I think it would be a tragic mistake to kill our already thin farm system on the hopes that they will still be on helium come the dog days/playoffs.

I’d prefer to let them play it out and/or trade FOR prospects if the wheels fall off.
