Defensive "highlights" look rough... just don't see why they need to draft two of the same kind of player...

He reminds me a lot Kevin Huerter, bigger wing shooter who can do some off the bounce with a little playmaking.

Yep, basically a bigger, stronger version of Huerter. They had very similar athletic measurements at their respective combines, and the biggest difference in their physical measurements is McNeely has 20 pounds on him and 1.5" in hand width.

Not even with Charlotte's injury history? Makes enough sense to me when your franchise has depth issues that require some of the callups and signings used last season.

Re: The Liam McNeeley Thread
Agreed.
My current headcannon is that they went with the best talent regardless of fit at 29 ahead of guys they were really targeting with the early 2s... just in case.
Like, imagine a certain player gets sent back here (again) and we had to send Kalkbrenner to Phoenix because we didn't wanna wait until day 2 to take a center. Then we end up cutting the returning player and end up with an even greater void at that position.
The tinfoil gets a little tighter everytime the official account tweets that ridiculous "agreed in principle" disclaimer.

Re: The Liam McNeeley Thread
Maybe Cooper really, really wanted to come here and Liam and Kenuppel are hits and Cooper will be the first rookie to turn down the rookie extension and sign here instead???
I also think they had McNeeley in the 15-20 range and he was BPA. Just wish they would have taken Tre instead at 4, it would have been a hell of a draft if so.

He is a more agile mover than Kon with the basketball. Also seems like a more unique finisher around the basket using both hands and some floaters. Seems decent at seeking contact and drawing fouls.

Good to be here. I pop in occasionally, especially this time of year. Hopefully I can be a bit more active here this season.

Re: The Liam McNeeley Thread
If Mark did (vomit) come back we wouldn't cut him. He'd play out this year and then obviously leave as a free agent. What would cutting him achieve other than create more dead cap space?

Scenes when we draft Ace Flagg third overall next year

Gordon Hayward would have taken 6 months off for a sprained ankle.

Re: The Liam McNeeley Thread
Shot above 40 percent from 3 in highschool and was the second ranked sf in the nation behind im assuming Flagg. I didn’t pay attention to UConn much this year but was he that sick at one point? I know his ankle hurt him. But he looked outstanding today. And I adore the headband beyond words.

Re: The Liam McNeeley Thread
Looked a lot quicker than he did at UConn at least. Can't believe he played through the ankle, another injury could've cost him.
