I doubt AJax is needed. They probably would just want Kuzma to save more salary.

Yeah, the money is the big thing. Miami wants expiring contracts, so we need to turn this into a 3 way.

I wouldn't mind Jared Butler as our 3rd PG. He played well enough with both Washington and Philly last year.

Wiggins is a MUCH better fit next to Giannis than Kuz.

Wiggins is a great 4th option guy. He is a better fit than Kuzma. I thought they should've included Miami and GSW in the Midds trade in the 1st place.

Now that Okoro is off the board I wonder if Milwaukee will try to go after Royce to save Phx some money. Pat for Royce with Richards sliding into the TPE make sense.

I definitely wouldn't include '31 for this. I think what they'd be trying is Kuz/Pat/2nds. That doesn't get it done in the other direction. If they really want Tyler Smith, Ajax, or Bogo; they can have them, imo. But it still doesn't fly. I just think it's hard to find the sweet spot w/ this 1.

What else do the Heat have, where it would be worth giving up the '31 1st for 1 yr of Wiggins & significantly more flexibility in addition? They're not giving up Ware. So it's like, Jacquez &/or Jovic? Is that good enough? Ought to wait to not take the haircut on Kuz.

Well they did want Dame before. Maybe something built around Wiggins, Duncan Robinson? Maybe something around Kuzma, Pat for Wiggins, Love? Or maybe we really like Jacquez and willing to put the pick out there? Not sure but I think Wiggins would be a good fit here.

Dame for Wiggins and Rozier. We could waive and stretch Rozier, or use him as an expiring attached to our 2031 1st.

How would fans of the Bucks feel if Lillard was traded for Beal? I know that everyone hates on Beal but he is three years younger then Lillard. He shot 50/39/80 last season and one would think would play even better next to a player like Giannis.

I haven’t followed Rozier the last couple of years but not that long ago he would have made a nice stop gap PG. did his game fall off a cliff?

Is there any compensation coming our way?

Beal ain’t signing off on a trade to Milwaukee.

Bucks in - Wiggins and Royce Oneale

Suns in - Rozier, Duncan Robinson and Pat C

Heat in - Beal and Kuzma

Suns can’t aggregate being a 2nd apron team so I have no idea how to make it work but that’s the best I could come up with that seems like a plausible way to get Beal to Miami where he likely wants to go.

You are right. I was just thinking that playing with Giannis could be a draw, but if things went poorly Giannis may be out the door and Beal would know that. I have nothing against the Bucks or anything but as an outsider looking in i have no idea how the Bucks can improve the roster in any meaningful way. I am Canadian and Wiggins is not changing anything. Getting Kuzma off the roster would be a plus. I believe that Kuzma/Connaughton for Wiggins would work. Not sure if they are all trade eligiable. The Bucks are in a rough spot. I have no idea why they extended their GM considering this.

Zach Lowe mentioned a straight Lillard for Beal swap as an idea being tossed around in NBA circles, but he said he doesn’t think it happens.

I have no idea what Beal wants to do but he should want to play in Milwaukee. Great opportunity for him to revive his career.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I believe the Wiggins interest because we’re nothing if not predictable. He was a name we were being linked to at last year’s trade deadline just like Kuzma was. I bet Horst is intent on just recycling large salary wings until he finds a Khris replacement, and it’s going about as well as his futile, years long attempt at finding a PJ Tucker replacement.

Per nehm Porter Jr officially opts out. Too be expected and no insights on next steps.

With the possible exception of myself, every poster on this board is a better fit next to Giannis than Kuzma.

Fischer via the Stein sub stack

"Perhaps the most established center headed for the open market is the ring-winning Brook Lopez. Two summers ago, you'll recall, both San Antonio and Houston pursued Lopez aggressively before the Bucks successfully convinced him to re-sign.

This time around, however, numerous rival teams are bracing for the center-craving Los Angeles Lakers to make a run at luring Lopez away from the Bucks.

Even if the Lakers plan to address their center void by pursuing Atlanta's Clint Capela instead or perhaps a target not as frequently discussed, there is a growing belief Lopez will indeed be on the move next week after a highly successful seven-season stint alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.

On the flip side …

My latest intel surrounding longtime Bucks forward Bobby Portis suggests Milwaukee is well-placed to retain the fan favorite.

That scenario would almost certainly entail Portis declining his player option Sunday and striking a multi-year agreement with the Bucks in a similar manner to what we saw Friday night when Naz Reid and Minnesota re-upped their partnership."

I thought the Lakers only had the MLE?

Biggest issue with Brook leaving is Giannis at center during the regular season.

He doesn't want the beating on his body as the only big and the team starts off slow..... Writing will be on the wall

Marks on LAL outlook.

"Doncic is eligible starting on Aug. 2 to sign up to a four-year, $229 million extension. The Lakers could have most of their $14.1 million non-tax midlevel exception but only if Finney-Smith declines his option and does not re-sign. The Lakers are $20 million below the first apron if the forward doesn't return."

If lose lose Brook for the tax payer MLE. What a **** up.
