There is no "writing on the wall". Giannis isn't going anywhere.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Bucks FO better open their ears. He doesn't want to play center. Pairing him with Bobby and on/off with Sims ain't the answer in the gap year. Need a center to handle the dirty work and eat minutes in the regular season is the biggest need if Brook walks.

With the possible exception of myself, every poster on this board is a better fit next to Giannis than Kuzma.

Don’t sell yourself short, BigO. You’ve still got it, baby.

Would Kuzma be out here talking about why shooting is more important than athleticism? I don’t think so.

Biggest issue with Brook leaving is Giannis at center during the regular season.

He doesn't want the beating on his body as the only big and the team starts off slow..... Writing will be on the wall

Marks on LAL outlook.

"Doncic is eligible starting on Aug. 2 to sign up to a four-year, $229 million extension. The Lakers could have most of their $14.1 million non-tax midlevel exception but only if Finney-Smith declines his option and does not re-sign. The Lakers are $20 million below the first apron if the forward doesn't return."

If lose lose Brook for the tax payer MLE. What a **** up.

i dont think people realize how little money we have. we need to stay under the 1st apron. so if you want to keep Bobby, we can basically pay Brook the minimum. We are not and should not going to prioritize keeping Brook if it means losing out on both KPJ and Trent. I say both because we can likely only keep one of them already. So we will give the MLE to one of them, sign some diamond in the rough to the BAE, re sign Bobby, and the rest are vet mins.

that's just reality.

It's not the first apron, for the bucks this year is the luxury tax line. They ain't paying any repeater tax for this team and they need to reset the clock on the tax.

Let's assume Bobby gets a million more than his current PO to start. That's 27 million under the luxury tax line with 9 players under contract(Jackson in and Livingston waived).

Some combination of 20 million between Brook/Trent this year, 6 million total between Rollins/KPJ.

That at least gets you in the ball park of near or under the tax. Wait till the trade deadline to try and off load Patt. Worst case scenario stretch Pat.

Yes, i misspoke. We do need to be a non tax team.

Getting Rollins and KPJ for 6M total is insane. i'll be overjoyed if that happens but i think it's incredibly far fetched. You can give Brook 6M but then kiss the BAE goodbye. I'd personally rather try and find a guy on the BAE that we can parlay into a long term piece of the rotation.

Consider the BAE kissed good-bye. It's all chips in next year with Dame and 2 firsts and a swap. Need every lever next off season.

Wiggins is the better player and a better fit.

Wiggins/Love for Kuzma/Connaughton would be nice.

Of course. Anything we get is a bonus. We'll likely only get a 2nd round pick, but I'll be elated with that, because we'll finally be done with wasting assets on a regular season only player.

That would be great, but what's Miami's motivation here?

Miami wants to move Wiggins to free up more money for the 2026 offseason.

Bobby and Sims are the centers.

Well Bobby is a turn style on D and offers zero rim protection. Doc refused to play Sims with Giannis, so there's that.

The Bucks were 32 points/100 better in each of the last 2 playoffs with Bobby on the floor. He's going to get paid, and has earned it.

The Bucks were better defensively with Bobby on the floor than they were with Brook on the floor last season. There's no defensive issue with Bobby anymore. Brook may provide rim protection, but he gives it all back from 3. We defend the 3 point line with Bobby in. Welcome to the new NBA.

I doubt they get any picks. Rui is Compensation enough. Rui alone is a player that can move Kuzma to the bench if he is not moved.

If the Bucks could get a Barret or Wiggins with Rui as the Prince upgrade that would actually be amazing.

In all honesty, I could see Horst settling for a TPE of whatever the Lakers or whoever might want him at

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
