Something along the lines of O'neale/ Martin/ Richards/ CLE 27' 1st for Smart/ PHX 26' 2nd ( back) or CHI 26' 2nd.
** This would give them a depth piece/ asset/ insurance behind Middleton at the SF. And a much better value center option on a cheaper contract than Holmes.
Martin is already an expiring contract, do they wouldn't lose any flexibility really. And they get our last 1st as an incentive for taking back O'neales' 10 million contract.
For us, We'd get a very solid low usage utility vet that matches our culture direction that doesn't need the ball to be effective. And is on am expiring contract which could be bought out if we choose. And we get another 2nd in next year's loaded draft.
They also have Olynyk on a 13 million expiring contract. But he can't be traded until around the deadline.
The Suns cannot do a multi player trade until they get below certain apron levels. So how do they do that
1) Beal agrees to be stretched for five years -- which would be stupid
2) the Suns move below the aprons by trading Richards, releasing Martin and maybe moving O'Neale for a TPE
Suns just need to do everything they can to not stretch Beal. If that means this year is kind of lean, so be it.
O'Neal, Martin, Richards and Allen are 40m - hopefully they can trim that down to 15m - maybe 20
Get them in between the apron levels I believe and ride out the year with the growth of Williams and Green, and maturation of Fleming, Maulauch, etc
