I think he is not the right kind of player we are looking for. We are try to win now and have few assets.

He is player with a lot of potential but lack experience.

He should be expensive (a late first I presume) and he should not be good right off the bat. Especially on defense and passing.

I think we should take a flyer on him, one of the reasons we ran into the wall is we seemed to have stopped developing young players I want to say since the 2021 season. Why idk (ok it was Thibs) but the last draft that created “roleplayers” was 2021.

Cam is on a great value contracts. The talent is there but he needs developing. If the Knicks got him he would be the best guy on the team on a rookie contract. There aren’t a lot of opportunities out there to get talented guys on their rookie contract even if they are a headache. Plus I still think they should try to move that Washington first rounder while it looks like it will convey on paper. You can probably plug him in as an off the bench scorer, and try to get the passing and defense up to the point he isn’t a liability and recognizes when he needs to pass out.
