Shams: Los Angeles Lakers forward Dorian Finney-Smith is declining his $15.4 million player option for the 2025-26 season and will enter free agency, sources tell ESPN. Multiple contending teams are expected to pursue Finney-Smith beginning Monday night and a Lakers return is possible.

I'd much rather have LaRavia at 1/3 the price. Younger, maybe some upside left, more reliable shooter, guards down and handles better.

Well, this happened during our season, so definitely plausible. I vaguely remember hearing something about it before.

All the NBA podcasts will be talking about this and then have to go into an ad read for Fan Duel or Draft Kings.

Adam Silvers NBA.

i hope Beasley's situation doesn't have a domino effect on Trent. Are the Pistons going to poach our SG again now?

As someone who has enjoyed sports betting for many years (mostly football) I hate how it's exploded.

Gambling has affected sports forever (Paul Hornung was suspended for a year in the 60's for betting on a couple of non Packer games).

The leagues are in bed with it, making millions from it and Silver will come out with a statement thanking the Feds for protecting the "integrity" of the game.

I agree with you on most of it except being a more reliable shooter.

LaRavia at the BAE or even sliding into the TPE would be smart. Another option is using Brook to get him in an multi team S&T deal.

Very curious when it happened when he was with us. Maybe it explains his drop off during the tail end of the season

Does this mean they're trading Gobert? Otherwise they have 60% of their cap tied in to true bigs. Then they're paying Edwards a max & McDaniels as a star role player. How's this going to work?

I wonder how much owners and Adam silver bet on their own league every year on top of the profits they get

That's a lot of $ for bigs in Minnesota

Sounds like they will pursue NAW and Lavert instead. Surprising, or they already know Trent won't be available. Either way, good for us.

Minnesota just spent over $100 million on Naz Reid & Juliue Randle each. They already have Rudy Gobert and just spent their 1st & 2nd round draft picks on rim protecting bigs. That's a ton of money & assets on bigs

They're set up pretty well, IF they trade Gobert, which at this point is a must, & I fully expect what they were thinking w/ these moves. Then they'd have their 2 starting vet bigs on fair market value in Reid & Randle, and then the younger cheaper guys waiting in the wings.

What they need for their salary allotment/Gobert is obviously a pg who enters them into their offense better. Starts the D scrambling. That's becoming underrated in the league. And they need shooting. Could be the landing spot for Garland, but they'd need a 3rd team to take on Rudy.
