With Beasley situation, Simons to Detroit makes sense... They also have cap space, so we can take back less salary...

White/pritchard/davidson?
Brown/scheierman/gonzalez
Knect/hauser/walsh
Marshall/niang/tillman
Gafford/queta/williams

Thats a superior team with cashflow, picks and tatum coming back.

"Superior team?" That looks like a 38 to 40 win team to me.

Read on Twitter

I have a feeling Brad already had wink wink agreements with both Luke and Al to re-sign. Otherwise, drafting a big would've been a priority. What Brad's working on now is moving salaries to make room for them both.

Should have looked at bigs anyway.

Horford is old as dirt and a fraction of the player he was and Kornet isnt good, justbat times looked good cause al was so bad.

Naji's worse at shooting the 3 than Hugo at this point. He's a SF whom I certainly don't want starting at the 4 for the C's. Don't want Knect with his D at the 3 either. Sure, Gafford's okay.

But the real question is why Dallas would want another limited-D shooter in the backcourt with Kyrie?

All I am saying is "superior team" is quite the take to my eye. All good, though. We see it differently.

If we can take back much less salary and a first rounder, then okay if not, I want no part of trading him for another player.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

I’ve gotten no traction proposing trying to trade for JJJ (Simons or Derrick +++ picks)

So what do we think of Jaylen for Sabonis + JV?

I’m probably a yes

Just in: The Utah Jazz are trading Collin Sexton and a 2030 second-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for Jusuf Nurkic, sources tell ESPN.

Jazz reporter Sarah Todd‬:

I’m expecting that the Sexton trade is the first of many for the Jazz this offseason. And what the Jazz get in return is not necessarily important for some of these guys, especially the expiring deals.

Walker Kessler on the move? Seems like an odd trade for Utah.

Marshall has plenty enough size to play thr 4.
And is a better shooter than hugo in a vastly superior league.

Knect is a fine young talent. Elite at chlatch and shoot and cheap. Equal with better tools defensively than simons has ever shown.

Everyone knew that. Most everyone that follows the Celtics knew we were going to trade KP or Jrue, most likely both. And that's what's happened. Also Brad has said he wants to resign Al and Kornet. If Kornet leaves, they have Queta and now Amari Williams to take on minutes during this gap year.

Call me crazy but the two things might be linked. Also if you think the Vulture Capitalists at Sixth Street care about championships above their balance sheets I have a bridge I want to sell you.

Could be, if Danny can get a haul for him. I never quite understood why he's always in trade talks, though. Seems like a good young center.

Unfortunately I would pass on that proposed Kings deal and any deal involving JJJ. Sabonis doesn't provide the defense and athleticism, which is not helped by the fact that he is a bit undersized already as a center. JJJ actually provides what Sabonis lacks but still needs work on making better decisions and part of that is avoiding the dumb fouls. I do like where you're going though, Celtics could use a younger capable big man for sure but I just don't know where we can find one. I might be too picky lol.

A question and a call to action...

1. As they currently stand when the new year starts, they are under the 2nd apron after the trades official and including Gonzalez's contract. Is that correct? https://www.spotrac.com/nba/boston-celtics/yearly
(Pending roster calculations suggest about 4.5mm in room before they hit)

2. While Brad may have tapped that Euro well with all three draft picks, we may need him to sign a Euro 5 out center. Hal might want to fire up the search for this year's Duop Reath. Someone they can sign at minimum level contract if they can't get Kornet or Horford to accept one or close to it. Maybe there's a world where Portland would have interest in a Reath for Tillman swap.
Baylor is Brat.

The Hornets need another center now. They only have Moussa Diabate and Ryan Kalkbrenner. They could make a run at Kornet if they want him.

I know it's been mentioned before, but a Simons-for-John Collins swap kind of makes sense — it fills needs for both teams, and the Celtics save some cap in the process.

I’m sure the Pistons were aware of Beasley’s situation. They have Jaden Ivey coming back and they drafted Kam Jones. I don’t see them doing Stevens any favors. They have lots of cap space to make moves.
