2025 Summer League

Post#1 » by Norseman79 » Fri Jun 27, 2025 12:13 pm

So, might as well start this.

PG - Dilly, Bailey, Newton
SG - Clark, Keels
SF - TSJ, Sane
PF - Miller, Brown, Chatman
C - Beringer, Rocco, Edwards

Think the Wolves play TSJ and Clark?

Beringer, Rocco, and Edwards would be the longest and most athletic (Beringer and Edwards) group of 5s for a SL team. If Rocco is actually on a 2 way (vs. an overseas stash), then Edwards likely is gone? Seems like that would be better for both parties for development purposes.

I hope TSJ, Clark and Miller play. It can only help to get more run. Clark especially. It would be great to see him with a little more offensive responsibility in full game settings.

Even that second lineup of either Bailey or Newton, Keels, Sane, Martez Brown and Rocco could be fun

They could roll out -
Dillingham
Clark
Miller
Beringer
Rocco

For fun, if TSJ doesn't play, especially if Rocco can actually hit the three

I hope TSJ and Clark both play. Neither played a lot last year and each is essentially going into their second year.

Rocco is fun but going to be a project at best. And the three, we’ll see. He hit a grand total of one last year in Australia.

Google doesn't seem to know other than references to rookies, sophomores, and undrafted FAs, but we know Minott played last year as a 3rd year player. Seems unlikely that he'd play a 4th time.

I think whether or not Minott plays will tell us his amount of buy-in to the Timberwolves development program. If he doesn't want to play, it likely means he has one foot out the door and may not last through the offseason here.

Could also hoping to shop him too? Drum up some interest from other teams if he has a really strong summer league

NBA Summer League: CJ Fulton to join Timberwolves for Las Vegas tournament next month

It looks like TC found pass-first guard for SL team.

Sign me up for that one. :) Rocco has a really good looking lefty shot. Beautiful mechanics and effortless looking.

That's interesting, I had no idea Bailey was with the Wolves. He was a very highly ranked highschool player, but I haven't really heard anything about him recently.

He was listed on the Iowa Wolves roster so I'm guessing they may be picked him up at the end of the year?

On December 30, 2024, Bailey was traded to the Iowa Wolves in a three-team trade involving the Stockton Kings with Stockton receiving Chasson Randle from Iowa and Long Island acquiring Drew Timme from Stockton.

Played in 11 Games for Iowa. 4 starts.
23 MPG: 9.4 PPG (42/28/89), 2.9 RPG, 4.8 APG, 1.3 SPG, 2.1 TO.
